S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Kurt Foland for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
I was baptized when I was 10. I just knew that was what I needed to do but really didn’t understand it all. Through loses of a brother in ‘71 and dad in ‘80 I understand now how God was present to protect and guide me, but I didn’t come to a full let go and trust moment until I realized I couldn’t force my daughter to do what “I” knew was best for her. I was face-down on my living room floor just completely giving everything up to the Lord and a peace came that I never experienced before. I finally gave God control.
I have been a missionary from 2005-2014 on White Mountain Apache Reservation.
Co-minister of White Mountain Apache Christian Church
Knowing and experiencing The Holy Spirits presence in situations that otherwise I would’ve been very reluctant to get involved with.
A positive experience in the midst of tragedy was as a result of the death experience of my 19 year old brother, I have been able to use that as an opportunity to relate to and share God’s presence with others in similar tragedies or just extreme loss.
How God revealed a boldness to share Christ with others and step up in the face of dispare and potential suicidal situations. To feel the Spirits calm and help people redirect their focus away from hurting themselves.
Wow. This is a better place for the experience of losing my brother in a hunting accident. It has allowed me to share that experience of lose and knowing God was there holding on and covering me with his comfort.
The other is the lose of my dad when I was 17 to an accident in the factory where he worked. It helped me share the fact that we don’t know the time and place of our death but need to live life in For God as though we are going to be gone today.
