Received a BS in nursing degree which was an avenue to lift me out of poverty.

Married someone from a different country who had experience life differently and help me to see new possibilities.

Received an MDiv. from the John Leland Center for Theological Studies.

Grew up in a very segregated south and experience racial discrimination.

Born into severe poverty.

Undereducated as a child.
