S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Frances for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Administration (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
It’s what I know how to do, what I have always done. It comes natural to me. Gift or ability?

#2 Gift, Evangelism (62%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Not sure. I had to read what this gift entails in detail so as to understand better. From reading, I can say that I have this desire in my heart, and when presented the opportunity to evangelize, I do so (not without some anxiety yet trusting the Holy Spirit with my words).

#3 Gift, Teaching (62%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Oh, I’ve always known I love teaching. It is certainly a passion in my heart to learn God’s word and share what I learn with others. I do not take this lightly as I know those that teach carry a great responsibility…most of the time what hinders me in this is lack of confidence.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love new projects, and being entrusted to help lead them.

2. I love to write as a means to encourage, teach or mentor. Especially when I sense the Lord’s encouragement to do so…whether it be from an experience or from something He is teaching me. I enjoy the opportunity to share with others what I learn from Him or how I’ve experienced Him.

3. I enjoy challenges and challenging others, physically (weight training, crossfit) as well as intellectual (learning something new, figuring something out).

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

1) Leaders with a vision.
2) People that don’t think can do something – so I can encourage them, challenge them and help find their sweet spot.
3) Adults – men and women – I have to preference

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
