2. Encouraging singles that God expects them to be sexually pure because he said so, and because that is a gift that only belongs to their future spouse.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

In USAF basic training a Baptist Chaplain asked if any of us wanted to learn more about Christ we could stay while others were dismissed, he went through the front and back pages of our pocket New Testaments and when he got to 1 John 5:13, the lightbulb turned on that Salvation was not based on feelings, but on Knowlege that God delivers on his promises.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Retirement home preaching 1986-88, street ministry 1999-2000, jail ministry for a couple of months in the late 80’s, home bible study with neighbors and young people about 10 years ago. Ocasionally leading men’s group here at Bannockburn

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Meeting my wife, she is indeed a help I need and encourges me spiritually, mentally and socially.

Learning to listen to positive information and not focusing on the negatives of the world.

Finding the God indeed has preserved his word and I can trust it to be true.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Going through a divorce and being utterly helpless to change it. Then totally surrendering to God everything. Through that I found I could not keep him in the nice box I had him in and he totally reworked my theological beliefs and he brought me through the otherside.

My oldest son becoming an atheist, gives me compassion for other parents that have “lost” their children to drugs, etc.

Economic downturn causing us not to be able to sell a home, and having to go through bankruptcy. Gave me knowlege that sometimes good people go through bad circumstances and not to judge like I once did.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Funding a missionary so they would not have to worry about money and be able to focus on ministry.

4. Build a homeless shelter (especially homeless vets) and focus on their spiritual, physical and mental well being.

5. write Christian fiction.
