S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Gavin Burnett for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Mercy Showing (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel like I have this gift because I like to forgive others, and I will tend to not fight with someone. I will usually talk things out with people and not with anger. Forgiving is a big thing for me because the bible taught me how to forgive others and it is healthy to forgive others, no matter what happens.

#2 Gift, Pastoring/Shepherding (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I also feel like I have this gift because I am a child of God. Since I am Jesus’ Shepherd, I have the spirit-given capacity and desire to serve God by overseeing, training, and caring for the needs of a group of Christians. I am the shepherd who leads and feeds towards others, and myself.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Finally, I feel like I have this gift because I love to spread the gospel to others. Honestly, I think I share the gospel a little too much at school, especially around my teachers haha. Sharing the Gospel is a good thing for me because I want other people to understand who Jesus is and what he did on this planet and why he died on the cross to save our sins. I also like to share bible verses, pray, and talk with friends, family, and my coaches.

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I became a Christian when I was a freshman in high school, about 4 years ago. I went to Reston Bible Church in Reston at that moment (moved to PVC at the end of my freshman year). I wanted to learn more about Christ in middle school, and I started to read the bible and asked questions to my parents about Christ. When I was 15, I was mature enough to understand the Bible and why Jesus died for us. I then decided to be baptized and be a follower of Jesus!

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

PVC first impressions (last year before COVID)

PVC early childhood (last year before COVID)

Landscaped at Reston Bible Church during the summer of my freshman year

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I know the bible more and who Christ really is

I know how to talk to people and how to open up more

I am not shy anymore

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Not to lie

Not to cheat on tests

Not to overthink
