S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Gabrielle Love for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel instant compassion for people going through difficult situations, that is why I changed careers and went into social work. God showed us mercy and gave his son to die for us, so we are to show mercy to others.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am sensitive to the fact that everyone needs encouragement and hope, even when they themselves are their own worst enemy and brought a lot of the problems they have on themselves. Everyone makes mistakes, no one is above sin, and self-harm, that is why Christ came to save us.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am a firm believer that only Christ can truly heal our mental and emotional pain. I want to learn how to bring Christ to people suffering from addiction and mental health disorders.
[H]eart
1. Spending time with my family and my son.
2. Spending time in worship and with other believers (I feel very comforted).
3. Working with my clients. I am a social worker and helping people who are suffering is very fulfilling.
Adults who are addicted or suffer with a mental illness or trauma. All races.
Pastor Jennifer said Journey is going to start a Celebrate Recovery group, that they need to recruit enough people to get involved. I belonged to one at my former church and I would love to learn how to lead a group. This Christian 12 type recovery group really changed my life. It helped me with my Co-dependency/addiction to relationships and approval, which was blocking me from forming a closer relationship with the Lord, and keeping me from discovering my true purpose for his Kingdom.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I was attending a Church of Christ in New York, NY when I came to really understand salvation in Christ. I was raised a Baptist, but never understood salvation.
Volunteer member of the Capital Campaign ministry for Providence Baptist Church, Cleveland, Ohio (2010-2011).
The birth of my son, being a parent. Raising another human being is a blessing and privilege.
Working as a social worker – I’m living my dream career finally!
Celebrate Recovery – going through that Christian 12 step program for several years developed me as a Christian and helped me spiritually heal from my co-dependency (still working it out, but I’m in a much better place now).
Surviving an abusive relationship – it brought me closer to God and made me grateful for this life he has given me.
Going through a divorce as a Christian. It taught me the importance of having God strong in your marriage (which we did not practice).
Falling away from my Christian walk for some years – I had to go through a lot of pain and I now appreciate God’s love for me even more.
