#1 Gift, Evangelism (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I understand and accept the love of God, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and the comfort, guidance, direction and empowerment of the Holy Spirit. These affirmations must be manifested communicated to as many as I can reach.

#2 Gift, Teaching (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have a strong desire to know the word of God, to make it relatable to my own life, and to share and impart it to others, under the influence of the Holy Spirit, particularly in a practical way, so that they too can grow in passion, knowledge understanding and dissemination.

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
From a very early age I discovered that many persons were ”drawn to me” (more than I was to them at the time), because I would listen to them forever (even hearing the same stories and issues before). Somehow I was always able to become ”the friend” or said something that made them feel better. During my forty something years of working in the corporate world, this trait heightened to a level that I became a manager of staff for in excess of thirty years, not only because I was able to guide the work, but more because of what I was told to be my people-skills. When I became a christian in 1995, this trend has continued and has continued to date. I discovered that I have been given spiritual gifts that embody discerning the ”root” of behaviors, speaking truths and affirmations in both spiritual and natural circumstances, I give God the praise and the glory for allowing me to be a vessel that he can use to serve the body of Christ in this and any other ways for which he considers me suitable in advancing the mandate and work of the kingdom.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Study the word of God

2. Share my experiences and learned and revealed knowledge with others, to encourage them and to show them the hope that is in Christ Jesus

3. Help those struggling to believe and accept that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that He loves them forever.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I prefer to work with young adults, and Seniors who are ”teachable”.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I am excited by the practical teaching of the word of God, from the pulpit, without too much fanfare and ”hype”. The Church, in my view, is to educate and equip congregants to understand and know who God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are, and to allow them to not only identify and develop their gifts and abilities for their personal well-being, but also for the benefit of the fellowship and church community.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

A message was preached at a Sunday service in which the Pastor told a story (more than likely fictional) about a man and his family being sent by his company, on a weekend vacation to help the husband/Father deal with a chronic drinking problem that could cost him his job. The ”family” included a pet monkey. Along the way the car crashed and all except the monkey was killed. The Policeman who visited the scene pointed to the man/husband and asked the monkey what was the man doing before he died. The monkey gesticulated that the man was drinking from a bottle. The monkey was also asked about each person, and he showed that the wife was sleeping, and the children were playing. When the policeman asked the monkey what He was doing, the monkey gesticulated that he was the one driving the vehicle. The Pastor’s question to the church was: ” Who is steering your life?”. He summarised that a dumb animal was steering the man’s life to his death, so what about us. I answered the call of salvation, and have not regretted a single moment of my new life in Christ.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have served as Ministry Leader of a group of young women (30) at a Church which used sports as a means of evangelism (Fellowship Tabernacle HWT Road and Fairfield Avenue, Kgn 20) This was over a period of 6 years.

I have also served as Sunday School Teacher (for adults) at the said Church for about 1 year.
I have served as Secretary to a Women’s Group ministry leader at a church I attended (Olson Memorial Church of God – Hope Road across from TLC) for a period of 2 years.

I have served as Secretary to a Women’s Group ministry leader at a church I attended (Olson Memorial Church of God – Hope Road across from TLC) for a period of 2 years.
I have served as Bible Study Teacher/Presenter to a Seniors and unemployed women’s group at Fellowship Tabernacle, once per week up until the onset of Covid-19 in February 2020.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My spiritual growth and development.

The impact my Christian journey and changed lifestyle have had on my marriage, to the extent that my husband has been saved and baptized for about 8 years, and my granddaughter (now 16 years of age) was saved and baptized at TLC.

The blessings I have been and continue to received from God since I made the commitment to let Jesus Christ be central to my life.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Growing up without an earthly father’s physical presence, but in hindsight seeing God’s hand and plan for my life.

Almost losing my home on 3 occasions due to financial constraints, but for the love grace, mercy and uncommon favour of God.

Retiring from the work force without adequate financial preparation, but for the love and kindness and generosity of my children who are willingly giving invaluable assistance to take care of my major financial needs.
