This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have 14 years as Associate Minister in the largest A.M.E Church, Orlando Florida. My duties included weddings, funerals, baptisms, and preaching in absence of senior pastor. My ecumenical orders were strictly under, A.M.E. Training, and A.M.E. Ordinations. Such documents are available for review upon request. More importantly, I’m willing to undergo, more new training in order to utilize my spiritual gifts and graces.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have successfully won hundreds of souls over to Christ, through preaching, teaching, praying, and one-on-one witnessing to strangers, family, and friends. My ministerial duties were to visit sick parishioners and the shut-in, elderly church members in nursing homes, and convicted felons in state prisons. My visitations included prayer, scripture, and the Lord’s supper (Holy Communion).
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I served as a career Chaplain in Florida’s State Dept. of Corrections, in maximum security prisons. I provided spiritual care for convicted felons on death row, lock-down confinement, life sentence, and temporary custody. These inmates, were at various prisons, including male, female and juvenile facilities. My Chaplain duties also included, the facilitation of programs and services which prepared inmates for proper re-entry into society; plus be the mediator between prisoners and their families outside, during family crisis’s ( death or hospitalization of loved ones).

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
At age 21, I received military orders to be deployed into the Parisian Gulf War. Sunday before I left for war (US Naval Duty). I went to my husband’s church, where I heard the word of truth, from Hebrews 12:6 ( the Lord Chastises whom he loves); upon agreeing with this word, under exuberance and openness of heart, heaven opened up and out came the down poring of joy and jubilation upon my body, from head to toes. He flooded my soul. I danced and shouted and praised God up and down the isles of the church. Wen I came through fits of dancing, I heard others spoke out, “she caught the holy ghost” Later on, after I studied the book of Acts, (Acts 2:2-4); I understood this spiritual experience to be ” the baptism of the holy spirit.” not catching the ghost, like others said, because the holy spirit doesn’t run away, nor require chasing. God saved me as I heard and believed and received his preached word. In succession, he baptized me before a multitude of people, in the power of his Holy Spirit.
Suddenly I was no longer afraid to go to war in America’s Navy. I felt empowered with a sense of bravery I NEVER knew before. During the war I applied my self to the study of the holy bible, attended chapel services EVERY TIME, it was announced and opened to all. While on board the Naval Vessel, USS Yellowstone, ( Destroyer AD-41); I grew closer and closer to God. Scud missiles, water on fire, Iraq and Iran at each other’s throat for Oil territory; Saddam Hussein, finally surrendered after a year in conflict.
The Lord Jesus Christ kept me and my crew, safe under his super-natural power and protection. Hallelujah!!!
When I returned home to America’s soil, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt, I owed it all to Jesus. My life, talent, treasure and time belongs to God. Therefore, I got busy, with serving my church, community, and prison system. Now I know, the anointing of the holy ghost, came, not only to keep me alive during the war, but also to empower me to do the work I have done this far, and to keep me until the Lord returns in glorification, (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17).
14 Years, Associate Minister, St. Mark A.M.E. Church, 1968 Bruton blvd., Orlando, Florida
7 years, Senior Chaplain, Florida State Prison, Lake Correctional Institution, Clermont Florida
2 years, Decision Counselor, Shepherd on the Hill, Non-Denominational Church West Los Angeles, California
Dr. Arnold Shindol, Professor and Founder of Florida Theological Seminary spoke “The Lord has his hands on you.” These words consoled me through ALL of my trials and hardships. Just knowing and believing, “God’s Hand” he never fails to lead and guide me, even today.
Dr. James Wade, Prophet A.M.E Church, came to town as a guess speaker, he spoke a prophetic word over my life ” like birds after seeds in a parking lot, your ministry will be with women and children, lots of them” I internalized these words, and pursued the prison fields, where God opened doors for me.
At a very early age, (8-11) My Mother spoke to me and all my siblings repeatedly, and on several occasions; “get an education” at other times I would hear, “once you get it, no one can take it from you.” Today I’m 20 credits shy of a Doctorate in Business Leadership.
I once was a homeless female veteran, in possession of an honorable discharge, medals, ribbons, but no place of my own to lay my head and sleep. When the VA took me in, and rehabilitated me, I developed a heart for the homeless veterans in America.
I once was Divorced, lost a 21 year old marriage to the foul spirit of infidelity, he his now married to her. I have since, been blessed with a new husband. At this juncture, I developed a greater passion for transforming marriages to resemble that of Christ’s and his bride, the church.
I once experienced sexual harassment in the work place, and several molestation as a tender child. I still vocalize God’s heart for sexual purity, in families, communities, and church.
