S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Daniel Greco for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. [H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Bringing laughter to others.

2. Bringing understanding to others in cases where there was previously a lack of understanding.

3. Providing for my family.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Those who are focused and goal oriented. Also those who do not get to much into the weeds and are able to see the big picture. I enjoy outgoing people who like to laugh and have fun, but who can also be serious as needed. I taught 4th grade for many years and enjoy students around that age (Old enough to joke around but young enough to still be innocent and bright eyed).

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I do not believe this appears to be a large issue at Mid-Way, but engagement and aging leadership. I think it is important to continue to instill Christian values into our youth so that churches, and Christianity as a whole, continue to thrive as our elders go to be with their Heavenly Father.
Also, as a former teacher, and still current educator (Professional Development and Curriculum specialist), things with education excite me.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

This is always hard for me because I honestly do not remember the first time I asked Jesus into my heart and to be my lord and savior. I was raised by two Christian parents and I always just felt that I was one. I have prayed the prayer asking Jesus into my heart several times. Not because I felt he was gone or that I had stopped believing and started again, but anytime I feel l need redirected or feel I have gotten too distant from him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Many different interactions with my Grandma Angel (mother mom).

Meeting my wife Ashton and having our 2 boys.

Meeting a few of my best friends who are still a big part of my life today.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being taken advantage of (too much to unpack here).

The loss of one of my best friends and colleagues.

Being affected by others decisions without having control of how it affects you. I have a few different examples I could share, but one is a more seasoned co-worker being able to pull stings that affected my reality at work.

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. To help those in need – specifically kids who did not choose their circumstances.

4. Being a performer of some sort (Rock star, actor, comedian, etc.)

5. Owning an amazing car collection
