Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in a Christian home, attended Christian school in 6th-12th grades. I accepted Jesus as my Savior around age 7. I can see his hand in every step of my life.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Upland (CA) Brethren in Christ in the 1980s as a day camp counselor.
Worked as AWANA volunteer in 2002-03 at First Baptist Elk Grove (CA)

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

While I was in college, I volunteered for Republican causes and campaigns, which led to my first paid job in politics. I have worked in Republican politics my entire adult life.

I was a soccer player as a kid and transitioned to being a football placekicker, which led to earning both academic and athletic scholarships for college. Attending that college caused me to get my first job and led to meeting my wife and we have been married since 1994.

Raising two outstanding kids from birth through high school has been the greatest honor, privilege and accomplishment in my life.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being short in stature was a dominating issue through high school. Looking back, I can see how my height caused me to make certain choices which have turned into blessings.

My parents raised me in a very odd way. I have actually turned some of those negative experiences into the opposite when raising my kids.

Watching my daughter have a variety of injuries in volleyball was very painful and continues to be a concern. I have sympathy for anyone who suffers an athletic injury.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Something to fill the void of not having kids in the home anymore.

4. Something where I can use my knowledge about life.

5. I have a desire to listen to God about how he wants me to spend my older years.
