Thank you Hadiyah Bobbitt for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Evangelism (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I was surprised to see evangelism as a one of the top three. I never considered myself an evangelist, as I think of that as more like a preacher. I think of a preacher as one who knows the word well enough to teach it well. But thinking of countless intense group conversations or heated discussions, in the midst of expressing my views or shedding a new light on the topic a “Preach girl!” is often thrown at me.
But having experienced so much, I have testimonies for days. So if sharing my testimony with fiery passion is evangelism, that’s me.
I often joke that God gave me a whole lot of trials, an expressive personality, and a big mouth, because he knew I’d overcome and brag all about what God has done for me, in me, and through me. I know I’ve inspired others, and I love when God is working through me. It’s actually a lot of fun when presented with the opportunity to share. It’s like I’m loaded with so much, and someone says something in a conversation, then something inside says “that’s your cue” and the Word comes out, or experiences where I lived out the word just flows. Now, when I realize I’m in one of those moments, I ask God “what do you want me to say next” If’s kind a funny how the word, or something Pastor said just comes back to mind.

#2 Gift, Giving (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have been blessed tremendously, and I believe God blesses me knowing I am going to share it, be it tangible resources, contacts, or other access. I feel compelled to look for opportunities to give, or help wherever I can. I use wisdom of course. I’ll give sacrificially, time, energy, resources etc, but not to my detriment. If I could use an analogy to explain how I view giving, life is like the fun of putting together a puzzle. The blessings I hold are puzzle pieces. Finding the opportunity to bless someone is the place where the puzzle piece fits. It feels like a win every time.

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Since my early 20s, I’ve often been told I should be a motivational speaker. It’s encouraging to encourage others, and it’s fulfilling to see people achieve their goals. I guess I am wired for it after having to press through opposition over and over again.
I hate seeing people discouraged, hurting, solemn. It truly breaks my heart to see sadness and pain in a persons eyes, even when their face has a smile. I often sense it even when there’s not outward indication. I feels natural to come along side someone in those situations, whether it’s to impart a word, or even just to provide a few minutes of respite from their situation. If it’s someone that I don’t know well enough, I try to at least create a peaceful warm environment for the interaction.
This is another area where I connect, as I had years of pain on the inside that no one responded to, or even saw, an I was too young to understand it well enough to express it.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Enlightening or Encouraging others.

2. Traveling across the world.

3. Creating or recreating things.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Bold, strong in mind and will people of high intellect with unwavering conviction in their values 40+
Creative, unhampered , and energetic personality. Any age.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I can’t put my finger on a specific ministry, but the first thing that comes to mind is people who are hopeless. For years I have been a magnet for people who are at the end of their rope, heart-broken, lost spiritual and mentally, suicidal… Often it’s people I don’t know, or friends of friends. A normal casual conversation turns into them pour out their hearts, bursting into tears, coming out of the closet, confessing drug addiction. I used to wonder how do these people find me. It’s like there’s a sign on my forehead that says “Help Desk”
In my teens/20’s I wanted to major in Psychology. Having been exposed and subjected to mentally ill family members, I has a desire to understand people. But I often heard there was no real money it. So I meandered and ended up in Banking. No a bad place to be, but my heart was never in it. The only time I’m satisfied is when I am helping people truly in need.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

In the summer of 2000, I started hearing stories about Jesus. Seemed like everywhere I went there was someone or something speaking about Jesus. I remember watching a movie, which I later learned was a Billy Graham movie. By the end of the movie I was so excited and thought I want to know more. By the middle of summer I felt I really want to know this Jesus! I wanted to go to a church but I wasn’t sure which one to go to. There is one on every other street in Brooklyn, but many of the people I knew who claimed Jesus, were so jacked up I wouldn’t have had a drink with them so I certainly didn’t want to go to their church. A few days later I ran into a friend who I’d been looking to get in touch with for 3 years. Turns out he’d been looking to connect since we lost contact 3 year prior. He’d since been saved, invited me to CLC, and at the first service I was ready to takes notes. Shortly there after I went to the altar, and publicly answered the call, and was baptized in October of the same year.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):
