S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Heather Bradshaw for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. Giving of my time and talents is so natural. It always has been. I enjoy it a lot and have seen it confirmed over and over through practice my entire life.

#2 Gift, Administration (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have had many administrative jobs and had this gift confirmed multiple times in tons of ways (employment, volunteering, etc.). I am very good at administrative/organization/planning/delegating tasks. This has also been affirmed by many people in and out of the church throughout my life.

#3 Gift, Teaching (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
This is something I have less experience in. I answered as honestly as I can but I think I could use some more experience and opportunity to have this gift affirmed/confirmed through others.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Flower Gardening! … It just does. Some of my best worship happens while flower gardening, planning, and even just admiring other people’s flower gardens.

2. Music: Specifically playing the piano. This is one way my heart speaks to God through my fingers. I see music as a prayer to God, sometimes with words, sometimes without. I also especially love to lead others through my worship in song.

3. Planning things. I sometimes take WAY longer than I even need to to plan for stuff and do WAY too much planning because I just love the process.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
