[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Be with friends. I am an extrovert and need to be around friends and others to “recharge my batteries”. I am not a loner and like to be with my friends and help them when needed.

2. I do not have much family left and really only my son who is turning 21. I do like spending time with him because I love him but he is living his own life and a 21 year old boy who is becoming independent and thinks he knows it all. My heart does beat for him.

3. Work at something that fulfilled me mentally, spiritually and financially. I moved away from my friends and job to be closer to my son and away from the snow and left my great job that assisted older adults, veterans and people with disabilities. I pray that I get a job soon that I will be happy with.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I prefer working with people who are educated but love my last job with assisted the under-served.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I came from a non-religious family. My father was a non-practicing Jew and my mother was a non-practicing Christian. I went to Catholic school to be with my friends but never felt in place. I married a Catholic man who was non-practicing but converted for him and was baptized as an adult before we married for him for his mother’s sake. I felt I let my father down when I did and kept it as a secret from my parents and brothers. I always felt that if I would let God into my life that I would be disappointing my father. My father passed away about 3 years ago but always said religion was for people to make money and caused wars. I have always wanted to have God in my life but felt like an outsider and that I couldn’t let him in. I moved here and found Seacoast Church and love it and want to let God into my life and am trying to accept the word and am little by little. I have not been re-baptized yet but can’t wait for the day that I truly feel that I have accepted God in my life. I have attended services every Sunday since Sept. 2017 and love what I hear. I try to pray on a regular basis but have difficulty doing so but love God and want him to be a larger part of my life.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have not served in the past before volunteering as an usher at seacoast.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My job at a non-profit. It gave me compassion for others.

Meeting some very caring people throughout my lifetime has taught me to love back.

Although I left Connecticut and my friends, I guess I would say that having a large group of friends.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My brother had schizophrenia and past away a couple of years ago. It gave me compassion for other.

My ex-husband became a cocaine addict. He has been in recovery for 7 years. It gave me strength to talk to others about my experiences to those who are going thru similar situations. We are friends and I have forgiven him so it taught me forgiveness.

My oldest brother took all of my parents savings and gave it to a con-artist who had been convicted as an embezzler in the past. I have learned to forgive him but still do not respect him. My friends wanted me to get him convicted but I would not do that to him because I felt that he was stupid and not a thief.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. To go on a mission trip

4. To volunteer for the under-served.

5. To work at a non-profit for the under-served. I am currently looking for a job in the private sector due to the low compensation at non-profits but love the work. At my age, I need to accrue more wealth for retirement.
