#1 Gift, Mercy Showing (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Every life matters. Investing in people is something that I’m passionate about; whether that be investing in relationships or the development of an individual or helping someone bounce back. I have been blessed to have a lot of gifts in my life and have never really had to want for anything. Because of this, I feel that it’s my duty to share what I have with others and recognize what I’ve been blessed with and help those who get by with so much less.

#2 Gift, Pastoring/Shepherding (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Leading groups of young people is what I’ve done all my life. I’ve coached different sports and teams since I was 15 years old. I’ve always been involved in trying to help develop young people in different ways, mostly in sports while I was younger. Now, working with young adults in college athletics, I feel there are so many more aspects to work on as well in developing the whole person and helping them to recognize the gifts and blessings that they’ve received as well.

#3 Gift, Administration (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’m not really sure on this one. I would have never guessed that administration would be one of my top 3 gifts.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I’ve always coached and I always knew I would coach in some way. It really started when I applied for a coaching job at my old high school and didn’t get it. That motivated me to essentially say, “I’ll show you” and I never looked back getting fully involved in coaching and investing in my growth as a coach. I also was pushed by my mom to always chase my dreams and when she passed away, I said that I had to give coaching for a living a shot and it has been one of the best decisions of my life

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Hawaii – 5 years as an assistant coach

USF – 3 years as an assistant coach

Club soccer the last 10+ years as a head coach

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Coaching my first club team

Working in youth ministry in high school

The birth of my daughter

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

The passing of my mom

The back injury that ended my career

One of the really negative coaches that I played for

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. To set up a regular trip to an under-privileged area and spend time with kids uniting through soccer. I would want to bring clothes, equipment and other things to help their lives a little bit. While there, we would try and help them find ways to better themselves and their situation to find a better life.

4. Coach at the national team level

5. Run my own foundation
