S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Bonnie High for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have for the longest time been able to talk to people and be an encourager to them in several situations. I was a Counseler at a Mental health facility and I truely felt this was a gift that God had given me. This is just one example of encourgement.

#2 Gift, Giving (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Growing up my parents struggled with the five of us kids. We did not have much as far as material things but we sure loved. My Aunt and her five kids came to live with us so my mom could take care of her after she had brain surgery. What we had as kid were also our cousins. I feel so happy and full of joy when I am able to give not only material things but my time and most of all my hugs. I am a hugger at heart! I am willing to help anyone in their time of need, whatever it may be. I know God is watching and is with Me.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I just love to talk about Jesus. I know he is my savior and provider. I like to share my joy with others who know him. I do need more learning though. I would like to be able to quote scripture when needed in a conversation. I have always had a problem with comprehension and memorizing.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Helping anyone with whatever is needed at the time. Brings me joy to serve the homeless as I did at the City Mission.

2. Joy to see a childs expression when they are excited and especially when a baby is laughing,

3. Last but not least…the Joy of coming to Church to worship Jesus…Of having I believe a Church Family. I have been searching for a long time for. Praise be to God!

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I enjoy people who are midline. Not loud and boisterous and not meek and shy. 25+ years maybe. basicly any age.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I went to a concert at an Assembly of God Church with my friend and when they had a calling forward Iwent. I was only about 16 at the time. I unfortunatly did not know what to do with my experience. I did continue to go to Church and Sunday School with my Mom. It wasnt until years later that I knew what I should do. I am still learning every day about how great our God is.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My Mom. .She is a true example of Loving God. She has lost 3 of her 5 children plus her Husband and is still going strong. She leaned on the promises of God for sure.

Being invited to different churches growing up. This way I had a variety of teachings. I went to a concert at an Assembly of God Church with my friend and when they had a calling forward Iwent. I was only about 16 at the time.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:
