May God Bless You!

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
My dad is a retired pastor and I grew up as a preachers kid. Both of my grandfathers were elders and being in church every week was expected. However I remember having a dream in which I was separated from God on a mountain and no matter how high I climbed I couldn’t reach him. I member waking up being terrified and wanting to be baptized to be sure I would never be separated from God. It was a Wednesday and my dad baptized me that night. My faith really became my own as I went to college and studied and learned what and why I believed what I did. God continued to shape my life through missions in Puerto Rico, Mexico, & Nicaragua, as well as working in schools for 14 years teaching children of poverty.
Mission work… seeing how much I have can often keep me away from God instead of closer to him. Also helps me focus more on how I should spend my money.
Serving with VBS & Adventure Week over the past 20 years and seeing the growth and innocence of children grow.
Teaching in public schools- in a high poverty area- seeing what these small children deal with on a daily basis.
I had Bell’s Palsy in the sixth grade and was tainted frequently by children who didn’t understand. It was painful and personality shaping. My heart aches for kids who are bullied.
I have Dysthymia (long-term, mild depression) and anxiety. Although, medicated and see a counselor as needed, I often feel alone and as though others don’t understand my struggles. I have learned that this is a lie and have come across so many others that I have been able to witness to and go to for support.
I am single and have dated very little. I have never been married and have no children. However, the desire of my heart is to be a mother. I have now been through 3 failed adoptions. My heart aches for those who are single and desire a family as well as those couples struggling with infertility.
