Thank you Nicki Brown for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Teaching (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love the word of God and have a passion to embrace those with a lack of understanding and minister God’s truth into their lives. I believe the word of God is living and active and there is an unending amount of discovery found within its pages and that give a greater revelation of who God is to His people and for people to have a greater understanding of their identity in Him. The word of God is life to my soul and I long to nourish others as well.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Well Im not on the corner passing out tracks or anything but I have such a heart for God’s children especially the ones who don’t know it yet. We have been given the hope of glory, which is Christ in us. I pray that I am faithful to share that hope and always look for an in to talk about my faith and Jesus with others. I was completely lost and dead in my trespasses. I remember what life is like without Jesus. Its terrible. How could I not share the love of God with others.

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Heck yeah! I’m surprised this isn’t my #1 although they are all close. Man building up is so natural for me. I love to see what God sees in a person and call it out. I love love love people and want them to know they are loved loved loved. I was called Eddy Haskell growing up bc I guess people thought I was a suck up. But I genuinely believe that I am sincerely interested in and care for all people.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Getting people together and connected

2. Having “real” conversations. Like God stuff. What is God saying to you, what is god doing in your life. I want to hear about Jesus in your life and share about what He’s doing in mine

3. Seeing broken and unhealthily relationships and lives restored and healed. Marriages, Parent child relationships, Generational issues, Teenage pregnancy, Adoption, Fostering etc. Seeing Jesus step in to the ashes and bringing something beautiful again. And even prevention of brokenness through right relationship with God, knowing His word, and other tools to support this

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Teens to 50’s…..But I’m not really so bound by age but by need in a persons life or circumstances.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Staff relations and growth, discipleship- that our people have someone or someway to be more connected and growing/challenged/accountability, worship time-seeing that run smoothly and be hospitable and create space for prayer. Prayer coverage and other worship times for our staff and leaders.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Born into believing, baptized as infant. Raised in Lutheran church and christian home. Bible wasn’t lining up with my life and enough of the Christians I kew. I gave up on Christianity and threw it out. Always hungry for truth, I was a seeker. And He said seek and ye shall find. I ask Jesus if He was real to show me. and He did. I became a follower and with in weeks my whole life was flipped upside down. Not long after that Jesus exposed my sn to me and his heart towards it. I broke and resented and surrendered my life and made Him the King of my heart. Not long after that I heard His voice for the first time tell me to “Go” and Ive been going ever since. (very long story short)
