Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

[E]xperience

My testimony of how I became a Christian is similar to the Shirley Caesar song where she they thought she was playing church and she wasn’t. Same thing happened to me.

Served in the young adult choir, church usher board and children’s church at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church for 10 years.

Joined the Outreach Ministry Planning Team at New Bethel Baptist Church in November 2020.

My father and mother were both diagnosed with different forms of cancer in 2003. I say that is the year I grew up and their faith made me a better Christian. My father especially because he was dying from cancer and he gave his tithes fatihfully and never complained and would listen to gospel music and praise God from the hospital bed in his house.

When I was in ICU. I could have died but God spared me.

When I joined NBBC. Had bad experiences with other churches but the NBBC family is amazing and has taught me to trust Christians. The love they show one another and non-judgment has allowed me to put my guard down and be transparent.

I worked with a woman who was a pastor’s wife and she lied on me. She apologized to me but refused to apologize to me in public to the people she lied on me too. It made me stronger and made me realize that I will need to deal with different personalities and the understanding of loving someone who hurts you.

Had relatives who were alcoholics and understand that it is an illness and I don’t judge others who have an alcohol addiction. Seeing the hurt that my relatives put on the family made me want to help them and not turn away from them.

Working with abused women or those who have been sexually abused/molested. Was in an abusive relationship when I was younger and was sexually abused when I was younger. I got therapy and those past experiences have made me a stronger person.
