This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I look at what people are going through in their lives and try to understand how I would feel if I was going through those circumstances. I have a want to comfort those who are hurt and give them hope; hope that I have found with a relationship with Jesus.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I want to understand processes and purpose and practicality. When I understand something or something has impacted my life, I want to share that with others. Combined with mercy showing, I hope I am able to teach people in a way that is personal to them and at a pace that allows them to learn with better understanding. I want them to understand so they can teach others what they have learned.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I know how blessed I am to be born into a home that loves Jesus and a country that allows me to worship freely. I know that I live in one of the richest countries in the world and I have seen what poverty and need looks like. I want to give freely because God has shown so much mercy to me. Everything I have is a gift from God. How can I hold on to something that is a gift? Additionally, I want to give because the things of the world will pass away, but the impact giving can make could make an eternal difference in the kingdom.
[H]eart
1. Make people smile/laugh.
2. Be an active part of helping someone who is sick, both physically and emotionally.
3. Being physically active and being outdoors.
I love to work with people my age. People who are encouraging and don’t complain, but instead make the best of and can find joy in any situation. I love to care for the elderly population.
I have a strong belief that Jesus died for “All” people. Therefore, I believe church should be a place for all people. A church should be like a hospital. It should be a place where the sick in spirit come while they’re sick so they can hear Jesus’ word, not a place you come to after you have it all figured out and are “good enough” to come. Church should be a place welcome to everyone so everyone can hear truth.

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
I grew up in church and grew up in a Jesus believing family. I thought I believed in Jesus when I was 11, but I have recently discovered that there is a difference in believing and “believing.” I got married in July of 2019 and have been married to my wife since then. However, I don’t think I truly started being the husband I was called to be, and the man I was called to be until I got save on February 16th, 2023 at the Church of Eleven22. Leading up to this night, I was the lord of my own life and had this “I got this” mentality. With the way I lived, acted, and lead. The first three years of my marriage, as the lord of my own life, included drinking alcohol at the wrong times, not loving my wife like I should, working night shifts; all cumulating to the brink of divorce. When my wife and I had no where to go, we prayed, and God saved our marriage. However, just because He answered those prayers did not mean that I surrendered my life to him. A few months after our marriage got back on track, I went back to thinking I could manage everything. I appreciated what prayers God had answered, but then I resorted back to the “I got this” mentality. I didn’t fully put my trust in God. He was not Lord of my life. So, on the night of Thursday February 16th, 2023, I found myself in the church parking lot, arguing with my wife in the car, not wanting to go into church. Once again, on the brink of losing my wife because I had lost sight of God and was only worried about myself and it had directly impacted my wife. I was not leading, I was not the husband I was intended to be. So then, although I didn’t want to go in, we went into church. Pastor Joby Martin was teaching a series on Philippians. For most of the sermon, all I could think about is whether or not my marriage would last much longer and if my wife had had enough of me. But at the end of the sermon Pastor Joby read Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” And he asked, “Do you live your life for Christ or do you live life for you.” POW! The Holy Spirit convicted me with those words. My whole life I grew up in church, grew up reading the Bible, knew how to become a Christian, and even believed that God answers prayers. But I didn’t believe it for myself. I just believed it for other people. At this point in my life, I was desperate. My marriage was broken and I felt loss, I didn’t have an identity. When there was a call to the alter, I went up front; the Spirit led me down there to my knees. Jesus called my name that night and gave me the peace I had been desperate for. I had tried to be a better person, but I learned I will never be good enough. That night, I understood that Jesus did for me what I could not do for myself. That night, I “believed” believed. I repented of my sin. I was desperate and the only place I could look was up at Him, and He was there already looking at me. Since that night, I am still not perfect, but I have identity and I have purpose and I know that Jesus loves me because He died for me. When God sees me now, He doesn’t see my sin, He sees Jesus who sacrificed Himself for me. I was baptized on Sunday May 21st, 2023 at Hannah Park in the Atlantic Ocean. Praise be to God!
