S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Austin Sheets for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Administration (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love working alongside others who share the same goal and passion. Taking lead in a project has been something I’ve been working on and have enjoyed. I love being able to see a team of people come together to construct something that could potentially change lives for the Kingdom.

#2 Gift, Serving (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love being able to serve the church from a technical standpoint within worship. I’ve had a passion for the technical side of music for as long as I can remember. Being able to create an environment where people can enter into worship and encounter the Holy Spirit is a blessing.

#3 Gift, Prophecy (62%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
This one is one that I wouldn’t expect to have been in my top three. Having been spoken over and given words of affirmation, it now makes sense. I was told that there is an anointing of speaking words into people’s lives and being an encouragement to them. I have begun to see that come to fruition these past couple of months.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Live Music Production

2. Working with Elementary School Students

3. Having a conversation with a friend while having coffee

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I have worked with Elementary school students for the past five years. It has been a joy to pour into their lives and be that male role model that some don’t have. I’ve enjoyed watching them grow into who God has created them to be. Watching their faces light up as they learn something new and how they just want to soak it all in. It has been a blessing to work with them and can’t wait to see how God continues to use me in this area of ministry.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I love when a church seeks out those who are searching. Instead of continuing to pour into those that already attend, they go out and find those who are lost and pour into them an overflowing abundance of God’s love. I love a church that isn’t about being just four walls but is about Kingdom expansion.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

At my former middle school, they did a play based on Judgment Day. They had those that portrayed a life lived for Christ and those that didn’t. They showed those that lived a life for Christ enter into Heaven and those that didn’t were cast into hell. Seeing that struck something in me and I wasn’t able to sleep that night. I cried out to my mom and she prayed over me and that night I accepted Christ into my life. It was at that moment I realized what a relationship with Christ meant and who I was in Him.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Big Lake Church of God. Technical Director for 8 years. Columbia City, Indiana

County Line Church of God. Front of House Engineer for 2 years. Auburn, Indiana.

The Belonging Co. Front of House Engineer (Current Position) Nashville, Tennessee

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My mom overcoming the news that she could possibly have cancer but continued to lead her church in worship.

One of my past summer camp kids accepting Christ into their lives.

My sister being baptized.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

A church friend taking their own life
