#1 Gift, Mercy Showing (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I grew up with a great family that loved me, but my siblings,my mother and I have been through a great deal of struggle, abuse, etc. That makes it easy for me to understand how someone feels trapped in a cycle of hurt or feeling targeted and feeling there is no way out. I feel very connected to those who are typically marginalized by society/ looked down on.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I was always a nervous child and struggled with me confidence and that followed me into adulthood. I try to encourage others because I know that you things will get better it just takes time. And God has many encouraging things to say in the Bible.

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I have always been exposed to church ever since I was a child. My grandfather, who was a huge influence on my life, was Catholic and we attended Catholic church with him. As I grew up and had a choice to attend I didn’t go as often but I stopped altogether when my family Moved to Texas right before high school. Then during my first year of high school I had met my best friend and she encouraged me to go to church with her. Then I went to church with her and really liked it. It was non-denominational and different from what I was used to but still carried the same message. And it just felt like home to me. I went with her church to see the pasion of the Christ also and from that moment on it had a profound impact on the person of Jesus Christ to me. I have had a stronger belief ever since.
