Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

baptized at age of 12, but did not really know or surrender my life to Christ until brought to despair in my early 30’s. My life changed and joy was brought back into my life beyond my dreams.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Epworth Methodist church in Illinois (youth); Baptist college in Mississippi (student–music); Fairlington UMC, Arlington, VA: hospitality, money counter; Wilderness Community Church (Spotsylvania, VA): mission, teacher, musical ensemble; greeter; and writer

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My grandmother’s teaching me the power of prayer at an early age (raised by grand parents the first four years of life). It brought me back to this realization and remembrance later in life.

My adopted father’s humbleness and kindness and my mother’s belief that I could succeed if I worked hard and maintained an I can do attitude.

The school of hard knocks led me to appreciate hard work and it taught me to grow even in my failures. This experience led me to perseverance and acceptance that life can be tough, but can be rewarding as well.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

A failed 1st marriage that wrought physical and mental abuse. I know what other women who have been taught that marriage is forever but have to walk away.

Quite a while ago I had a “suck it up attitude” for those who were ill and not able to come to work. Now more than ever I can appreciate the suffering of others.

On several occasions whenever I was nudged to do certain tasks, I kept telling myself I was not qualified or able. When I finally succumbed to the nudging, found it to be more rewarding than I could imagine. (mission and teaching)
