S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Jamika Whitehead for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Evangelism (93%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I can relate to all kinds of people. God blessed me to have a unique walk that proves He takes the broken and shapes us like clay in His hands. I love sharing the goodness of God and letting it be known that He is available for them too!

#2 Gift, Administration (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Organization makes everything so much better. How can we understand, measure, or grow if we don’t have things in order for reflection and discussion. Communicating, demonstrating, and coordinating allow a group to collaborate and cohesively reach the goals.

#3 Gift, Pastoring/Shepherding (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
This surprised. I guess I always think of a robe, pulpit, perfect living, and speech when I think of pastoring. I’m more drawn to salvation by testimonial and encouragement. Prayerfully God is doing a new thing through my gifts so I can shepherd the way He best sees me fit for. I would love to have multiple properties all over the world where my husband and I host retreats/healing sessions for couples, families, teams, and employees. Our ministry would be global and make changes in relationships so we all have God at the center of our lives!

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to travel! There’s always more to see in this world. I’m amazed at God’s creativity to create so many different cultures, traditions, and natural beauties. Seeing new places makes me feel smaller in a world where man wants us to feel full of ourselves. I like the humility and excitement I feel when I witness God’s beauty

2. Cheering people on turns me up!! I love speaking life into situations because it allows me to be a vessel used by God and 9/10 times it’s a mirror-conversation I’m having with myself. I believe God sends me people I can relate to now or later so we can make it through life together and be encouraged while we travel.

3. Quality time with my husband brings me boundless joy. The way he speaks, questions, and loves amazes me daily. He has a HUGE heart for so many things. I admire his ministry and all He gives to God.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to work with men or women age 17-30. The type of people I am most attracted to are dreamers. I love encouraging and providing innovative ideas for their visions and beliefs!

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

The need to act like we have it all in order concerns me most. If church is a hospital why do we walk in like we are all perfect and well. I don’t believe in pessimistic behavior but I do believe in transparency and vulnerability for healing.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was snatched up by Jesus my senior year at Howard. Thankfully God used the right person that’s been with me the whole journey! My linesister, Simone, invited me to church and it was a wrap once I got a dose of the teaching from Pastor Nutall! His honesty, wisdom, and explanations but everything applicable and sensible! After dating the church for 1 year, I was baptized and officially a member!

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Praise Dance – Upraise

New Members Ministry

Women’s ministry

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

meeting my husband Malcolm Carter

creating PrayerPlug

serving in multiple ministries at church

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Being apart of women’s ministry was a dread for me. I didn’t feel the sense of togetherness at all. It seemed like everyone just wanted to get the calendar events done and planned. I was expecting it to be more sisterly and cool.

  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. produce and sell PrayerPlug products

4. own properties for retreats/seminars
