S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Jared Mooney for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Giving (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
God has blessed me immeasurably, and I desire to share that blessing with others. In addition, nothing that I have is really mine, but rather is the Lord’s. Therefore, I am simply being a good steward of his money by giving to his church.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Ironically, I feel as though I am not very gifted in this area in terms of skill, but I am very passionate about it. I am constantly asking the Lord to work through me to make His name known with my non-believing friends, family members, and co-workers. I am constantly evaluating myself and asking God to help me share the gospel more effectively with everyone that I meet.

#3 Gift, Serving (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe that serving is one of the most tangible ways to show the love of the Lord with those who I interact with. In addition, I believe that, as followers of Christ, we are called to be serving actively in the body of believers, not simply consuming na riding on the coattails of the church.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Exercise – I love to work out. God has designed a beautiful machine that is the human body, and I love pushing myself to the limits to see what I am capable of.

2. Finances – I believe that all that I have is a gift from God and isn’t truly mine at all. Therefore I love being disciplined with my finances so that I am able to give to the Lord without hesitation and to bless others in the way that God has blessed me.

3. Talking – I love have spiritual conversations with anyone and everyone. The older I get, the less I desire to have “small talk” conversations with people. I would much rather engage in a conversation about the Lord and what He has done.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

Persons in the medical field – as I stated above, I believe that God has created an amazing machine that is the human body. I love to work with healthcare professionals who understand the depth and intricacy of the body. This allows me to discuss something that I am passionate about (healthy living) while sharing the gospel through the creation of God (the body and how it works).

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Finance ministry – If everyone stewarded their money well, amazing things could be done for God’s kingdom.

Healthy Living (not at the Chapel) – I believe that if we treat our bodies well and take care of them, we are able to better serve each other and the world. I love teaching people how to take care of themselves so that they can serve the Lord with every single part of their lives.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

The Lord saved me when I was 17. Through a series of events, I realized that if I truly believed that God was real, He deserved every part of my life, not just my Sunday mornings.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Chapel – Campus Focus: Small Group Leader
2014-2017 (3 years)

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Seeing a good friend of mine come to Christ, and seeing him grow in the Lord.

Submitting myself to the Lord in the area of relationships; this eventually led to me marrying my wife.

Rekindling my relationship with my little brother several years ago.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My parents divorce when I was 15.

Seeing my uncle die from lung cancer, and not knowing if he was a follower of Christ or not.

Seeing my grandmother diagnosed with cancer and her fight through chemo, which is still ongoing.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Prepare my children to be followers of Christ in a world that hates God

4. To be known everywhere I go as a follower of Christ that is always open for a discussion of faith

5. Give of my financial resources so readily that people around me think I’m insane for trusting God so much
