S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Jan Beekman for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

[H]eart
1. I like to sew, knit and crochet. I like to knit dish cloths and give them away.
2. I enjoy being an usher so I can greet people and make them feel welcomed.
3. I love studying the Bible. I’ve been reading The Bible in a Year for almost 30 years now. I enjoy teaching my grandsons about the God’s Word. Owen and I read Bible verses every morning, talk about what we read, and how to apply the verses to our lives.
I love working with the Stephen Ministry team. We get along very well. I like working with people of all ages and it’s fun and interesting working with other Christians. There’s always more to learn!
It concerns me that OOC has not taught very much on the end time prophesies. I need to be pushed a little to share the Gospel with non-believers so they have a chance to surrender to Christ and come to God in repentance.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
[E]xperience
I was introduced to Jesus at age 4-5 and got it but couldn’t hold onto it. My father was in a cult when I was in my 30’s and wanted me to join him. I did for 12 years. I got kicked out of the cult, thank you God, and went to OOC. I don’t know when I became a Christian.
I was a synchronized swimmer and won a 3 1/2months trip (with 11 other girls) to 17 countries, doing shows and clinics every place we went. We swam in the Gala at the 1964 Olympics in Janpan to introduce the sport to the Olympic judges.
I started going to OOC when I was spiritually bankrupt. That is one of the most important things I did.
I have had couseling for about 17 years. This has been a very positive experience for me.
I was in a very difficult marriage for 23 years and got a divorce.
I was in a cult for 12 years.
I have dyslexia. As a seventh grader I was told that I wouldn’t be able to make it academically in college. (But I was on the honor roll in high school and college.)
