S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Javonne Steward for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I was born with this gift. I have demonstrated this gift throughout my personal life and work and I take it very seriously. Having this gift comes with a heavy load of responsibility, one which I do not take lightly. I have a strong desire to teach others about the truths of God and I am passionate about correcting myths, ignorance and deliberate miseducation. I also understand how God intended for me to use this gift within the body of Christ.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I know that this gift is within me because I feel the burden of having to warn and correct poor behavior/characteristics/and miseducation displayed in the churches, home life and government. I often suppress this gift because I’m concerned at how my delivery will come across. I am very blunt and harsh at times but this stems from my desire to want to see people correct poor behavior (mainly in private life, church and government).
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I often say that I am not the typical evangelist because I don’t seek out ways to approach people. However, I have created ways and opportunities for people to approach me. That is actually when I’m most comfortable because they’ve sought to know why I believe what I believe…or if they ask me a question that’s related to the bible or their own personal spiritual walk.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

My upbringing. For 11 years of my life, I grew up as a foster child in the inner city of Chicago. I was adopted at the age of 16. Although some may look at this as tragic…it has actually shaped my life for the best. The boldness that I possess is rooted in my childhood.
Getting divorced…twice. Again some people may think otherwise…but it taught me a great deal about forgiveness.
Becoming a parent. I have learned a lot about patience and being gentle.
Being neglected as a child. I understand why people may neglect children. Circumstances and resources have a huge impact.
Being rejected by adults as a youth. This actually fuels my parenting style. I respect, accept, listen to and am open to children…
Watching a parent deal with addictions, particular drug abuse . I relate to children who have to deal with this. I see things that others don’t see because I’ve dealt with this heavily in my youth.
