Thank you Joshua Byrd for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Mercy Showing (90%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
It comes natural to me. People go through the good and the bad in their life times and we should always be kind to those who are down and need extra lifting up. I work in hospitals a lot for work and see a lot of patients who are in need of mercy and empathy and I try to be there for them always.

#2 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Like mercy showing, uplifting is so important to me. Those who are down need the most compassion and it’s our job as their brother or sister in Christ to give that to them.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Spreading the gospel is important to me. I never want to be that person who has the key to salvation and can impact so many, but I let nervousness and other worldly feelings get to me. It’s the most important thing we do in my opinion as Christians.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Felt the overwhelming love of Christ in the lowest point of my life. I started going to church and the feeling was reinforced and met some of the best people in my life. I got baptized at Immanuel and when I was in front of everyone I felt so calm.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Moving into an apartment by myself for the first time and realizing it was just God and me.

Being in the medical ICU in high school for DKA that should have statistically killed me if it wasn’t for God.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My divorce

Previous drinking experiences

Being in poverty growing up

  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those
