S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Denise T. Castillo for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
In my personal, educational and career history, I have found myself using my skills in being highly-organized with a strong attention to detail to achieve goals and be a leader.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy serving others for the simple purpose of serving. Not to receive anything in return nor to obtain recognition. For example, I enjoy worshiping at Eastside and searching for opportunities where I can be the hands and feet of Jesus.
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I enjoy telling my story of how I found Christ and believe that there are MANY people who are or have experienced what I have experienced in my life that led me towards Jesus, in hopes that they will too turn to Jesus. My story was shared to the Eastside congregation through a Video message and is also published on the website.

1. Family
2. Community/Friendship
3. Serving/Helping
There is not a category that I can specifically say I love to work with most. I truly enjoy working with all age groups, diversities, and backgrounds. Growing up as a first-generation Vietnamese American in Orange County, CA, I am blessed to have been raised to accept and respect the differences and uniqueness of every person I meet.
I love that Eastside continues to exponentially grow in size and the congregation is filled with a diverse population of ethnic backgrounds. I would love to see more diversity within the church staff and on the worship team. I truly believe that visitors to the church usually look for someone they can relate with. This is true of myself personally. During my first visits to Eastside, I found myself pulled towards those who have ethnic similarities especially those who were on the Worship Team.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
Being overwhelmed as a full-time working mom and wife, I found myself struggling in my marriage. My husband and I found Eastside when it opened at the new Anaheim Campus and began attending and as I continued to attend and open my heart and mind to the teaching of Pastor Gene, my husband and I gave our lives to Christ and rededicated our marriage with the foundation of biblical truth.
Worship Vocalist – Current, Eastside Christian Church
Being continuously promoted within a large corporation has helped me to significantly grow in my personal and professional development.
Becoming a parent
Being the first in my family to graduate from a traditional University with my Bachelors Degree.
Marital problems that has forced my husband and I to recognize that we are two imperfect individuals trying to live a perfect life.
Having family members with mental illness
Having my mother in law pass away from complications with diabetes at a fairly young age.
