Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

[E]xperience

I was not raised in the church, but I can look back now and see where God has always been present, drawing me to Him since I was a child. As a child/teen I wanted what I saw others had, but I didn’t really understand how to get it. Then, in college, I resisted God’s draw on me. I liked control and liked to think that I was really in control. As a young working adult, I finally came to a point in my life that I surrendered to the fact that I had no real control and only God did. That is when I surrendered to Jesus and began to learn what it meant to allow Him to be the Savior and Lord of my life.

I served as a Youth Leader at Evangelical UMC in Elkton from about 2004 until 2011

The witness and walk of my husband Stacy, both when we were dating and after we were married, not only contributed to my salvation, but has also strengthened my walk and growth.

Participating in the Experiencing God Bible Study was a time of accelerated spiritual growth for me as well as when God revealed to me that I would one day leave me secular job for a job in ministry.

The time and circumstances leading up to the way God clearly walked me through leaving my secular job to come to work at Crosslink showed me how God truly does want to lead and guide us and how He will give us clarity if we truly seek Him and His will completely.

Not being raised in the church in many ways left me at a disadvantage in life, but has helped me know how I want to raise my kids as well as helps me connect with others who have struggles due to a similar upbringing.

Resisting Christ during college, I recognize I missed out on opportunities I could have had to grow spiritually in the time, but that also helps me connect with those who may be resisting Christ now.

Some poor relationship choices I made in my early young adult life could have led to some disastrous results, but again have shaped me and help me minister to others.
