S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Jennifer De Arcos for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Administration (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love organization, efficiency, completing tasks, being in charge and delegating

#2 Gift, Giving (59%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’m not sure… I feel like this is something I’m still growing in. But I’ve been more an more conscious of realizing what God has given me and blessed me with, that I suppose I have a desire to give to others so they can be blessed too.

#3 Gift, Pastoring/Shepherding (56%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’m not entirely sure what this is, but to me it feels like being a guide and walking through things and teaching/learning things along side you. It’s possible that these were the questions about helping youth. I’ve always had a passion for teaching/mentoring kids, and I really got a taste for it when I was doing Jr. High ministry. I feel more comfortable around youth and young christians because I feel like I actually have something to teach them, whereas I don’t feel developed enough to teach other developed chritians.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Being in charge. I love planning events and seeing it come to fruition.

2. I love playing board games and inviting friends over for dinner and games.

3. I love music and singing, and I love crafts.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I like being in charge of any age group if we are all working together to complete a task, put together an event, or just getting a job done. Spiritually I feel the most comfortable with Jr. High and High School students. I feel drawn to hang out with college students, but I get nervous thinking about potential theology majors that may make me feel inept.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I really miss doing youth ministry, but since becoming a mom I’m finding it very hard to find the time to serve again. I would love to host a game night for college age students, but am concerned about what to do with the kids.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
