S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Jennifer Critton for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

2. Being married — has been one of the greatest joys God has given me. Communication is tough but it’s worth the hard times…and the good times outweigh!

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
[E]xperience
Grew up going to church (Grandma took me and dropped me off, my family did not attend most of the time). Once I got to college, got involved in a new church and campus ministry. Always believed from a young age and new that this was the path God had for me. Campus ministry really helped me to go beyond and see how to minister and guide others as well as grow spiritually myself.
Bible Talk Leader of a campus ministry at the University of Arizona and Pima Community College
Parents/Family — Never have discouraged me from being who I am, even if we disagree with some of my views.
Getting married really helped me to see how Christ sees the Church and helped me with understanding how to apply communication to all aspects of my life. I truly believe lack of communication/misunderstanding are at the core of most issues.
Serving at an orphanage in Mexico and seeing the joy and unconditional love of the kids even though they had so little. It really showed me how important people are over money or other things. The impact was that we spent time with them and that was amazing.
Hurt of a best friendship that ended. Taught me that God’s love was more than I thought and I had to really fight through the pain of what happened. Still difficult to fully give myself to friendship for fear of being hurt but God is continuing to heal and help me move forward.
Guilt over leaving a church. After months God made it clear I wasn’t supposed to be at that church but it took another year before I was able to really worship and study the Bible again without guilt and fear consuming me. I want others to know that God does lead you out of one place to another to help you grow and to help others.
Odd as it sounds…reading the Da Vinci Code. First time I really questioned my faith. This ended up a good thing as God really used it to help me dig deeper and affirm the Bible and the truth.

- Everyone Else After those
3. I would help to lead a campus or high school group at church.
4. I would start a women’s prayer group.
