1. I love counseling and discipleship.
2. I love connecting people to their unique calling and pointing out resources that can help them develop.
3. Writing.
College age and 20 somethings. Anyone who is in transition and making major life decisions.
Lack of connection within the church is concerning for me. Lack of attention to social justice issues and ministry to the poor and powerless. I’d love to get more involved in these areas. Missions excites me!! I’d love to get involved in organizing a mission trip for families.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
I became a Christian at the age of 12 or so. However, I only began attending church after college. That was when I truly committed my life to the Lord.
Missionary with Operation Mobilization for two years (2003-2005)
Women’s ministry and small group leader for about two years in Hawaii (2007-2009)
Women’s ministry at our church in Chicago from 2011-2015 ish
Being a missionary and traveling to 40 different countries. This has had a huge impact on my life and worldview.
Living in Hawaii with my husband when we first got married and being very involved in missions at our church as well as other ministries. Learning how to build community apart from family and friends. Such a huge growth experience for me.
Attending and graduating from Denver Seminary with my husband. Studying counseling has given me a new perspective on who God has created me to be.
Dealing with the very traumatic birth of my son and the depression and anxiety that I developed afterward. I have a heart for moms and women’s issues.
Having a daughter be born with a heart defect. Navigating that and learning to trust the Lord through it all.
My marriage to a man from another country… (this has not been negative) but has come with challenges that have shaped me and made me compassionate toward others.
