#1 Gift, Serving (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I have always loved helping others, even as a child. If I see a need, I do everything I can to help out

#2 Gift, Mercy Showing (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am generally very forgiving and understanding when it comes to the wrongdoing towards me or others. (I am not perfect, but it has taken me a few years to really grasp and understand mercy). I always look for the best in people and even though we may not see eye to eye, or they wrong me in some way . . . I still try to look for the “good” in them.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (59%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Honestly, I had no idea that I would acquire this gift. I believe I do well sharing the Gospel with children, because I was a Preschool teacher for 3 years, but still get tongue tied and nervous when speaking to adults.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Taking care of children.

2. Sing

3. Serve

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with Children! I love working with the infants and toddlers in Nursery as well as teaching in a Preschool setting.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I have been apart of a small group that did local missions: visiting the soup kitchen, nursing home, taking clothes to a local shelter, etc. and I absolutely love getting outside of the church walls and helping others. We were involved at Vienna Elementary School a couple of years ago, and we would stock the teachers lounge with drinks and snacks, and made treat bag for the teachers . . . I would love to get involved doing that again.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised by Christian parents and was involved in Church as long as I can remember. It wasn’t until I was older that I realized that I cannot do life on my own and I needed Christ. I repented of my sins and accepted Christ as my Savior when I was 17

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Awana’s leader at Triad Baptist Church, Kernersville — 1 year
Awana’s leader at Vienna Baptist Church — 2 years

Praise Team member, Vienna Baptist Church — 4 years

Children’s Ministry (Nursery) Co-Leader, Vienna Baptist Church — 2 years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Spending 2 summers in Guyana, South America. I lived with a missionary family, for one month out of the Summer) and helped them with daily duties as well as church related functions. This experience really showed me what sacrifice and true missions is all about.

Attending Piedmont International University: It was never my intention or my “plan” to attend a Christian college, but God had other plans for me. I spent 3 years there being taught biblical truths and meeting people that would be encouragement in my life still till this day. It is also where I met my husband 🙂

My parents did local missions for a summer camp in Wilkesboro, NC. I spent my Summer’s as a teenager on staff at the camp: doing office work, running christian camps, and traveling to different churches on Sunday’s as part of a ministry team. It was not an easy life to live, but it taught me a lot about hard work, commitment and family.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My husband and I spent 2 years trying to start a family. It was a very frustrating time for both of us, because there were no “answers” as to why I could not get pregnant. It brought stress on our marriage, and I became very bitter towards God, and other pregnant friends of mine. God had to bring me to my knees and show me what contentment and patience was all about. I am better for the experience and I feel like I can relate to women going through similar situations.
We are now expecting our first child and I know it is only by the grace of God!
