Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. [E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Grew up Catholic. Lost myself in college. Meet my wife and introduced to Baptist Christian beliefs. Was out golfing on a cold rainy day that I took off to be by myself and meet up with three baptist ministries (unknown to me until i asked to play the rest of the round with them). they wanted me to pass thru on the golf course but i was lonely and asked if i could play with them. from the 4th hole to about the 9th hole i sat with jim reeves who went to school to be a catholic priest of all things but could never get the answer to where his soul would go when he passed away. He converted to being baptist and on the 10th hole that day i accepted Jesus as my lord and savior. the clouds opened up to the brightest sun shine and hottest heat i had ever felt. i cried for joy as i knew i had just experienced what jim had been talking to me about the previous 5-6 holes.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

i was baptized at cave spring baptist in roanoke Va and shorlty there after moved to charlottesville. Was a member at first baptist with dr joel jenkins as pastor. When he left first baptist i was moving at the same time to barboursville. Been a member of spring hill for about 15 years. Serve as the key volunteer for the PACEM ministry. Serve in the greeting ministry. Currently serve as deacon chairman after extending my deacon term by one term to a fourth year.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

growing up in a loving family that always provided for me. i went to private school from 1st to 12th grade.

starting a family and realizing my life was not about me as much as shaping the family to be who they are today

leaving the corporate world and six figures to opening a business almost going bankrupt – to praying diligently for God to provide the way and he did. Humbled by God who always provides and never lets us down
