Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My father led me to Christ after family devotions when I was 5.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

First Ave Christian Assembly; Living Faith; Southside – served on the worship team, taught Sunday school & Wee College; sponsor of Youth group

Mission Trips: Brazil, Africa, Philippines, Bulgaria, Mexico – periodically since 1992.

Broadway Church: pianist, visitation team, youth ministry cook, hospitality

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Answers to prayer as a pre-schooler have impacted me my whole life; a conviction that God hears and answers prayer and cares about me.

Being a small part of the Jesus people movement in the 70’s, inspired by their desire to share Jesus with others; involved in the local ‘coffee house’, street witnessing

Seeing how my parents loved others unconditionally and opened their home to many ‘stray’s over the years; fostering babies and young children, housing a young mom who was terminally ill, and her daughter.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Having a husband and children who have all struggled with depression and other mental health issues

Going through the pain of seeing my children make bad choices in their lives, getting addicted to drugs.

Having a husband with serious physical health issues which have impacted him since his late 30’s and changed the way we have to do life.
