S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Wes Parker for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

#1 Gift, Teaching (100%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am gifted with a high intellect, and I enjoy learning. I like to contemplate what I have learned and look for example and application in life and creation. I use this to convey ideas and actions to others. is is very gratifying to see the light come on when someone has grasped new knowledge.
My downfalls in this area are that I can come across as a know it all, monopolize the podium and educate over or faster than my students ability to learn. I can also digress and lose direction toeard the desired end state.

#2 Gift, Pastoring/Shepherding (87%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love people and Jesus.

#3 Gift, Administration (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I naturally run through a process and identify the weak or failure points rather quickly. I determine the most critical points that impede success and suggest possible corrective actions. I have extensive education and training in the arena of process improvement and am best at improving as opposed to creating process and procedures. I am aware that a team is necessary to accomplish any worthy goal.
I have weaknesses in this strength as well. I can seek perfection instead of excellence, I get bogged down in the details. I can become paralyzed by analysis or the multitude of possible corrective actions. My rapid processing of information sometimes leaves a gap between my thought and the thoughts of my cohorts. I can seem cynical always noting what needs to be improved. I am often able to do anything but forget I cant do everything.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Imparting joy and hope into another person’s life

2. creating/doing something that can be noticed in the moment or future and that has a tangible effect

3. Help others to realize all that God created them for and helping them reach the best version of that they can.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with people who are passionate, competent, industrious, loyal, ethical, and ambitious. Age isn’t a consideration, but personal maturity and mental capacity are. Those aged 15+ and in control of their mental faculties would be the general rule.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
