Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in a strict Lutheran church, but had no personal relationship with Jesus. When I got older I was very lost as a Christian and didn’t know who I was as a daughter of God. I walked away from my faith, so lost and confused. Then I married David and he wasn’t a Christian. We fought a lot after we got married. I did pray, though. And I prayed for us. Then we found Journey. And I was called back home by Jesus and redeemed. I was born again and prayed the sinners prayer, and finally found my personal relationship with Jesus I had always yearned for. David also found Jesus and accepted Him as his personal Savior. We were both water baptized declaring our Faith and living for Jesus, and now we serve at Journey and became core launch team members of Journey Avon. I have grown so much in my walk as a Daughter of God and finally have what I have always wanted with Jesus.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Journey Church, Fairview Park and now Avon, Ohio… Kids Ministry….seven years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Journey allowed me and helped me to release my inner worshipper

Went to College and received my degree for Early Childhood Education

Married David and have learned perseverance and to never give up through our ups and downs of life together.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I was abused sexually and physically when I was four by a stepfather. I was taken from my loving mother by my father’s mom and placed into foster care. I was neglected and abused verbally and spiritually by my father growing up. And as an adult my father continued to verbally and spiritually abuse me, including verbal sexual abuse to me and inserting that into my marriage with my husband (by my father). I have since been healed and have forgiven these men.

I struggled all my life in school. I almost didn’t graduate high school. Then when I was in college, I continued to struggle. I was diagnosed with several learning and reading disabilites. But I worked hard and overcame, receiving my degree in Early Childhood Education graduating with two honors.

My mother dated a lot, and married and remarried a lot. I didn’t have a stable home life due to these family issues.
