Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up in a Christian family and went to church since I was born, but I didn’t have a personal relationship with God until August 2012. God came to me in the evening session of a youth conference, and that completely changed my life. He is no longer my parent’s God, but my personal God.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Irvine City Church, Irvine, CA, worship team vocalist, 1.5 years since 2016.

Crosspoint Church of Silicon Valley, Milpitas, CA, worship team (worship leader, vocalist, keyboardist), 4 years from 2013-2017.

Crosspoint Church of Silicon Valley, Milpitas, CA, children ministry (worship team & small group leader in VBS 2017), one week of VBS.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Back in 7th grade, I first heard of SOP’s song (禱告), and felt God’s presence and love. Because of this song and experience, I started to listen to worship songs, and later on got involved in worship team in my church (in HK).

The conference I attended in Aug 2012 that led me back to God’s love. I no longer only believing in a religion, but also building a relationship with God.

When I was in Crosspoint Church, I got so many chances to learn about worship and leading worship. They provided me a platform for me and our team to grow. Later on, I went on mission trip with my church, they let me lead worship there, and recruited me to lead worship in mandarin service once a month.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My parents were always busy so that I have to do things on my own. I became independent and perfectionism because I would like to be their good girl, who does not need them to worry about. I felt like being the good girl is the only way to gain their love.

Back in 9th grade, a schoolmate, he made up some sex stories of us. My parents and teachers did not take it seriously, and they were not showing any support for me (I’m the victim!!). From that day, I lost my trust to people, especially my parents. It was something negative, but I can now easily relate to people who can’t trust others.

When I moved to Irvine, I felt lonely, insecure, and very depressed. But, during that time, I was very close to God. I was broken so that I can rely on Him, and to put my security and identity on Him.

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. Become a worship pastor, and lead people towards God in worship.

4. Bring music into prison, doing something like music therapy with prisoners.

5. To write and create more songs about God/Christianity, and make it popular that non-christians would listen to it and find healing.
