This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe that I have the strength of encouragement because I feel that I am a very approachable person who loves to listen to others. I may not always have the best advice, but I will always do my best to comfort those in need in whatever way I can.

#2 Gift, Administration (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love the little details the go into planning, organizing, and delegating responsibilities.

#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe there is some overlap between this gift and the gift of encouragement. I love helping those in need. I am aware that none of us are without sin and therefore, I will not offer judgement, but rather extend a helping hand to someone in need and seek to understand their situation so that I can give them practical help.

Outreach programs. I am very passionate about being involved in the community outside the church because I believe that is a major part of our call as Christians to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was born and raised in a Seventh-Day Adventist family, but I strayed away from God and the church in my early teen years after I was hurt by someone close to me. I felt very distant from God for awhile, but after attending a youth service at a new non-denominational church, I began to develop an actual relationship with Him. I began regularly attending youth on Wednesdays and church on Sundays, then became heavily involved in serving each week. This church and the leadership here truly changed my life and helped me discover what an actual relationship with Christ is like.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

I have served as a youth and worship leader at Airborne Church in Martinsburg, West Virginia for almost six years (2016-present).

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

I was homeschooled all my life up until college, and I believe that had a major impact on my development over the years. I would not be who I am today had it not been for parent’s passion for learning and teaching.

I am the second youngest of seven children. Growing up in such a big family not only helped to develop my patience and generosity, but now that we are all grown up, with many having families of their own, I can look back and see how all those years being stuffed into a tiny house, having no choice but to share everything, has helped me be able to appreciate everything I have been blessed with. It makes me miss those days and has given me the unique ability to truly appreciate the moments we share together now.

Growing up, my family and I lived in the middle of the wilderness. We did not have access to internet or tv, and weren’t allowed to play video or computer games, so we spent our childhood in the great outdoors! We spent every moment we could outside playing and building. It gave us the opportunity to develop and use our imaginations and creativity by building forts out of trees, paint out of rocks, carpet out of moss, and so much more! I am SO thankful for the way that I was raised, and to this day, I have a passion for being outdoors in nature.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I was sexually assaulted by someone I trusted as a preteen. For years, I struggled with feelings of worthlessness, guilt, anger, etc., but through Christ, I have experienced healing, freedom, and a passion for helping others who have also been through traumatic situations. Although the pain I endured was not sanctioned by God, I believe that He has been able to use it for good and work through me to impact others.

A few years ago, I found myself in a very toxic relationship. Thankfully, I had a wonderful support system around me that I was able to lean on to help get me out of it. Although we had not dated long, it tremendously impacted my outlook on love, and has given me a passion for helping others recognize unhealthy patterns of behavior in significant others. My personal experience has helped by giving me the ability to relate to and therefore help others who are struggling with similar situations.

Years ago, my family met and unofficially adopted a young lady who had lost both of her parents to an overdose. She had struggled with addiction in the past as well, and unfortunately, fell back into the wrong crowd. Up until that point, I had completely misjudged those who found themselves trapped by the temptation of drugs and substance abuse. Although she has been to several rehabilitation centers over the years, she unfortunately is back to using again. It is incredibly painful to see her feeling so lost that she resorts to such destructive coping mechanisms, but it has given me a new perspective on those struggling with addiction. This has sparked a desire in me to help those either personally experiencing this or those experiencing the repercussions of a loved one dealing with this. Sometimes we go weeks or months without hearing from this young lady, but we will never stop caring and will always be there for her if she ever seeks our help.
