Thank you Kara Oliver for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (78%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I feel I have this gift of encouragement because God has placed that desire in me to be an encourager. I loved being on team sports throughout high school because it gave me the opportunity to build up and encourage my team. People need encouragement. I am truly so beyond happy when I see people that I have walked through life with doing well, doing what they were created to do.

#2 Gift, Evangelism (71%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe that evangelism has grown into a gift over the last few years. Doing mission work in Nicaragua really sparked this fire to make Him known among those that don’t know Him. I love encouraging those in the faith, but at the same time we are called to go out and share Jesus. We need to build up the church, but we can’t forget about the call to go out into the world and make Him known. I believe an effective way to do this is through building relationships.

#3 Gift, Mercy Showing (65%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I honestly don’t see this as one of my strengths so I was kind of surprised to see this. But I want others to know that they are redeemed through our Savior. It doesn’t matter what we’ve done because God is greater!

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Worship. I know that I am not gifted musically by any stretch of the imagination, but worshipping Jesus is one of the most fulfilling things I can ever do. He deserves all of my praise!!

2. Spending quality time with people. I am horrible in group settings but I absolutely love spending time with family and friends in small groups or preferably, one on one. Quality time is my love language. Having heart to hearts with others or being able to bless and be blessed by fellowship.

3. Being a part of doing God’s work. Being boots on the ground. Living by God’s power. Praying for people.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love to connect with those older and younger than me. I love learning from the older generations and I love guiding and encouraging people younger than me.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Outreach.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I surrendered my life to Jesus when I was 13 years old. I went to a church camp and went up to the alter and gave everything to God. I felt a father’s love for the first time at that alter. He filled me with His Presence and Peace and I was never the same.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Engage Nicaragua-Assemblies of God World Missions-Student/Missionary
Jan 2017-April 2017, August 2017-November 2017, Jan 2018-April 2018

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My mom got married to my now step-dad and we moved from Great Falls to small town Washington. This was such a God move and was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I grew up in an amazing, supportive community. I had the opportunity to play sports and develop some awesome relationships. I wouldn’t change that move for anything!

Playing basketball in high school made a big impact on who I am today because of the coach that I was blessed with. Growing up without a father left a big void in my life and my coach stepped in and really encouraged and challenged me. I had zero confidence coming in as a freshman and yet he believed in me and never gave up on me. He is still a big part of my life even after high school and I’m so blessed to have him in my life.

Going to Nicaragua for that season after high school was such an incredible experience and one that I wouldn’t change for anything. I learned so much about myself, about God, about missions. I truly felt the power of God working and moving in incredible ways. This experience gave me a heart for the lost and broken.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My parents got divorced when I was 4. My sisters and I would see my dad every other weekend for years after that but he really wasn’t in the picture at all. I haven’t seen him in 9 years. This has been difficult growing up without a daddy. Kids truly need a father in their life to fill that void that only they can fill. It hurts knowing that he didn’t want us or take on that role as a father seriously. But as hard as it’s been, I wouldn’t change the way things have gone because I can now relate and help people going through similar things. I have a heart for broken families and kids and marriages because I can relate completely! I’m excited to see how God is going to use my broken childhood to help restore hope in others!!

I became very sick my sophomore year of high school. I was out for weeks and never felt the same after that sickness. I battled with my heath the rest of my high school career. This was extremely frustrating as I was trying to play sports and I couldn’t play to the level that I knew I could had I been healthy. I grew so much closer to God through it and can truly appreciate my health more than I ever could have had I not gone through this.

I had to evacuate Nicaragua this last April. This was devastating. I caught a glimpse of the horrors that were going on down there and experienced some traumatic things. We left without any closure and I had to work through a lot of pain and confusion. But I really came home with a heart for those that have experienced war. It is no joke and I only caught a glimpse of what war looks like.
