[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Giving to the Lord’s work

2. Praying in a small group of people I know well (not spontaneous groups where I’m thrown in with people I’ve never met) and praying alone for the needs of others

3. Being outdoors enjoying scenic nature and creation by taking trail walks in parks (local, state, national)

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

other single women near my own age

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

Being prepared for the end times because I no longer believe in Pre-Tribulation rapture. I believe in Pre-Wrath of God rapture per the teachings of Marvin Rosenthal of Zion’s Hope.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Retriever’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

through the witness of my godly parents and my church/Sunday School/youth group upbringing; followed by a renewed commitment after the “death” of my marriage and feeling like an utter failure

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Missions Ministry Team for >20 years at Canton First Friends, Canton, OH. For the past 11-12 years, that has included preparing monthly Prayer Praise reports by reading/summarizing the newsletters and emails from all the missionaries my church supports. For approximately 8 years, that has also included preparing missions columns for the weekly church bulletin. Many years ago, I was active in a leadership role in the Women’s Missionary Fellowship – same church.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

being hired to work at Malone University

developing a heart for missions because of the influence of people such as Lucy Anderson, Marjorie Myers, visiting missionaries, etc.

developing all new friendships with singles after my divorce

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

death of my father when I was only 18 years old

divorce

helping with in-home care of my mother aging when she was declining rapidly from major health issues followed by having to put her in skilled nursing care

Wrapping It Up

The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. to get over my inhibitions about sharing the Gospel in one-on-one evangelism

4. to be freed from the demands of working full time and managing a home as a single so that I could study the Word and learn to be a discipler

5. to fit into the Body of Christ without being so self-conscious and so bogged down with physical ailments that have to be “managed” constantly
