S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results

Thank you Karey Ashcroft for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. #1 Gift, Serving (96%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I love to serve and not take the limelight. Providing a smooth running ‘platform’ for ministry to lead from.

#2 Gift, Administration (75%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
As above – If I can make the admin side nice and smooth running, it makes it easier for the spiritual leaders to focus on more important things.

#3 Gift, Evangelism (68%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I believe if I live my life loving God and loving others, it shows unbelievers what real Christians are like. Nothing fancy or preachy. They trust me and ask questions. If I don’t know the answer I don’t make it up. I just honestly say I don’t know. Friendship evangelism is probably my style.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. Loving on my daughters.

2. Planning an event from concept to end that draws in the community and gets boring Christians out of their seats.

3. Supporting my leaders however I can

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I love working with ‘real’ people. Age doesn’t matter. I love being in a team that is made up of people who don’t get offended at the drop of a hat. People that get the job done no matter what.

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I like getting Christians out of their comfy place. Helping or encouraging them to be more relevant.
I also have a passion for worship. When we truly worship God, we exude His presence. When we exude His presence, we draw unchurched people.

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was brought up in a Christian home but was abused, which made God untouchable and scary. At 13 I went to camp where the kids my age had something I didn’t. I was baptised and filled with the spirit and never looked back. I met Jesus! (so much Chistianese!!!)

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Vineyard Church – Worship/Music Leader (Pastor) – 6 Years

Vineyard Church – Personal Assistant to Pastor, Reception, Admin – 5 Years

Vineyard Church – Cell Group Leader – 6 Years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Overcoming Sexual Abuse

Realising who I am and being okay with that. I’ll never be a typical Christian woman.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Sexual Abuse as a child and the abuse of my own daughters

Being in a church where I was ‘punished’ and blamed for being abused and acting out.

4 failed marriages – violence, sexual predator, drug and alcohol addict, cheater – basically very crappy men!

1. My Relationship with GOD

2. My Relationship with Others

  • Putting Your Spouse First
  • Your Kids Second
  • Everyone Else After those

3. My daughters – happiness and finding God

4. Financially stable and able to give/do more

5. Have a cafe that doubled as a counselling service, drop in place for teens etc
