Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was raised in a Christian home. I remember praying to receive Jesus as my Lord and Savior at the age of 4 yrs. old. We attended church off and on as I was growing up. When I got to college I felt lost. I began to realize I didn’t like myself or where I was headed. I was invited to an FCA meeting where a fellow classmate spoke on making Jesus Lord of your life. I had the proverbial “light bulb” moment, where I realized that Jesus wanted all of me. It was not just a prayer I needed to pray, it was giving myself and all that I had and hoped to be over to Him. I remember praying in my room that night “Lord, I am a mess and my life is a mess. But if you want this….it’s all yours.” I was blessed to be surrounded by other christians that I met at FCA who ensured that I was discipled and grew in my walk with Christ. I followed my decision with baptism.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Parkway Baptist Church – Youth Ministry Staff Member. Drama Team Coach (youth); Drama Director for Easter Musical, Crown Ministry Leader, Choir member.

Campus Crusade for Christ – Applicant Liaison (worked with people applying to come on staff), Coordinated New Staff Training. HR Business Partner. HR Director for subsidiary ministry. Missions Trip to Moscow, Russia and Beijing China.

Southcrest Church – Children’s Ministry Welcome Team, Career Ministry, Children’s Christmas Musical Drama Director. Mission Trip to Pune India.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My althletic background (4 sport athlete in High School) really helped mold who I am. It helped me to be goal oriented and team oriented.

My mission trips have really given me a heart for other cultures.

My time on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ helped to instill the Vocation as a Ministry heart I have.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Losing my job under unjust conditions. This helped me to realize that every person I serve as their HR Director is a person, with a family and friends. I need to remember that.

Losing my father when I was 6 years old greatly impacted my desire to not take things for granted and gave me a heart for veteran’s families.

A relationship I had in college that ended with a broken heart on my part – helped me to realize that God’s best for me is not always easy nor apparent.
