[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. My family, and knowing I have the opportunity to make a difference in their life’s, I know they watch, so I try to lead by example.

2. Working with work women and building their confidence, helping them to understand they are valuable and beautiful. I wish I could teach all women how to love themselves, and to be the best versions of themselves that God has created them to be

3. Service, and friendships.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I have worked in children’s ministry for many years. However my hearts desire is to have a greater impact in women’s ministry. I see a lot of hurting lonely women, putting on a fake mask and pretending I want more than anything to teach women how to remove that mask and except the love that God has for them

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I have seen so many churches so focused on getting new people and focused on numbers, however they overlooks the needs of the establish parishioners, I strongly believe that all people should be serve in some capacity. There are always things to do to help build God‘s house, however in my past experience I have seen 20% of the people do you 100% of the work, leaving those who served burned out

Your Primary was ‘The Otter’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.

Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

Came to know Christ at an early age, Was baptized at age 9. However I like to call myself a double dipped Baptist because in my late 20s is when I truly started a real relationship with God. In my mid 30’s however I ran from God when I became an alcoholic. One night I begged not to wake up and that night I distinctively heard a voice and felt a warm sensation telling me that “I have work to do“ God led me to rehab and that and that is where I have what I call my road to Damascus moment that changed my life forever

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Chruch financial secretary as well as Children’s ministry director, developed kings kids children’s church, M&M club, and AWANA leader at first Baptist of Macclenny

Performed in KidsStuff at the church of Argyle, Jacksonville, Fl Also lead a small group women’s Bible study. And facilitated and co-hosted a small cell group in our home along with my husband

Taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, then I became the churches events coordinator. I Continued to build women’s ministry. And worked on new members classes. I Also attended the Timothy school were I studied theology, biblical history, hermeneutics, and evangelism. I was about to take my Pastoral lecturer license exam. I was working to become a certified Christian counselor. However I was unable to finish because of the transfer to North Florida. This was all at Sunlight Community Church in Port St Lucie, Fl

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Becoming a recovered alcoholic about to celebrate 12 years of sobriety. Rehab open my eyes to the world that I never knew and made me a much more compassionate and understanding person to others in need

Having the opportunity to counsel and watch women grow and change their life around. Not because of anything I did, but because God did the work through me

Being content with my life and knowing true joy and feeling truly blessed and loved. Being married to to my best friend for 30 years. Raising a beautiful well-adjusted family, and now watching them as prospering adults raising their family. It warms my heart to watch my daughter with her children now it feels me with great joy.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Going through rehab and beating an addiction to alcohol

Being raised by a single mother with no father figure in my life. being molested as a child and later in life being raped

Hurting so badly while sitting in church behind the Stainglass masquerade. I “played church“ for many years and now I try to live my life fully transparent, and understand that the church is full of hurting people who are hiding behind a smiling mask just as I was.
