#1 Gift, Administration (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I currently work in administration for a federal government office; I enjoy delegating and setting procedures and goals; I enjoy making improvements to processes; I enjoy providing constructive criticism and I look/ask for ways to improve in various aspects of my life, personally and professionally

#2 Gift, Evangelism (84%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I am surprised to see this as a top response because I’m not well versed in scripture, but I see that it can be interpreted as being well versed in speaking on how good God is to me. I have tremendous faith in His word – I just know that I need to learn more of it 🙂 I am a proud believer in Christ and his teachings and I know that there is power in His word and power in prayer.

#3 Gift, Exhortation/Encouragement (81%)

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
Although I am a work in progress, I have found that I am the friend that people vent and talk to and I am always ready with words of encouragement. I believe that a lot of times, we need to change our perspective on things and have hope. I tend to be persuasive in my everyday dealings, once I have a full understanding of the situation and needs.

[H]eart

Three things I love to do that bring joy and fulfillment in my life:

1. I love to try new things, travel new places, and eat good food :-). I enjoy the thrill of discovery and learning something new.

2. I enjoy helping others i.e. serving meals, helping those in need in various aspects (homeless, disabled, just in need of help with bags lol)

3. I feel fulfilled when I accomplish the (realistic) goals that I set in place for myself. I am currently in a state of mind where I want to improve my life and continue to grow closer to God and His church. I am looking to continue to develop into the positive and reliable woman that God has created me to be.

Who I love to work with most, and the age or type of people:

I enjoy working with adults with wisdom, I enjoy learning from them. I enjoy working with those who may need help within their home (groceries – like adopt a family). I enjoy working with people in my age group as well (like in a team).

Church issues, ministries, or possible needs that excite or concern me the most:

I’m excited about working with the Communications team and spreading the word about Zion Church. Zion has been a complete blessing in my life after accidentally stumbling upon the church almost two years ago. I’m excited about being affiliated with such a wonderful group of people. I feel like I can be myself and contribute tot he progress and growth of the church. I frequently share the sermons with my family and friends and encourage them to visit.

Your Primary was ‘The Lion’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.

Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I believe it began when I started with Girl Scouts. I don’t recall my parents being religious. My troop was based in Ebeneezer A.M.E. in Ft. Washington. I enjoyed church and attended. I was always in the choir, but I think my high school choir (Oxon Hill High) was the most impactful and cemented the Christian walk for me. I have always been a believer, I’ve just been working on the specifics i.e. learning scriptures and walking in the faith more purposefully.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Mt. Ennon Baptist Church (Clinton) – Usher, Camp Counselor (3 plus years)

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Singing in my high school choir – this helped to teach discipline and exposed me to multiple countries and languages

Attending Zion Church Landover

Traveling and participating in areas that allowed me to see things from other peoples view

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

My father leaving my mom and I

Abuse (Physical, verbal, emotional)

Issues at my first federal job after college/anxiety
