I have worked in various office settings and had to contribute to the overall effectiveness. I am also analytical and interested in learning the overall structure of an organization along with processes that are in place.

Since I joined Zion in 2012 I have served on the Welcome Team, so that is where my initial passion lies. In the last year and half I have seen the level of commitment of POCs and members deteriorate and I would like to be a part of its revitalization.

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I grew up attending various churches/denominations, but felt I needed a deeper connection and commitment after graduating college in 1988.

Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Rockville, MD. Nurses Guild 2 years.

New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Tampa Florida, Jr. Missions Guild 6 years, Choir 6 years, R.I.S.E Committee ( Pastor appointed board) 2 years

ReBirth Baptist Church, part of the transition team in establishing new church. Followed Pastor from New Mount Zion, Aerobics Class Lead 2 years.

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

Babysitting from the age of 10-16. Allowed me to learn responsibility in caring for others .

My college experiences at Hampton University and University of South Florida.

Volunteer experience with Literacy Volunteers of America.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

Having an abortion as a teenager.

Divorce after nearly 9 years of marriage.

Being laid off and out of work for 8 months as a single mother in 2013.
