S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Keshra Hines for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’m not sure why I have this gift. I believe it’s largely God-given, but both my mother and father are very lowkey giving people. I grew up seeing my mom come home and cook dinner for everyone, and quietly leave with containers to give to whomever was in need at the time, or seeing my dad help others out by giving what he could financially, or letting someone use his car when theirs broke down etc. So I never really looked at giving as a gift until I got older. It was mostly normal to me growing up. (As I wrote out the answer to church issues/ministries/needs, I realized it related to this gift as well as serving. I’ve added some scriptures that have really just impressed upon me a desire for giving and serving)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
So this one is somewhat a surprise to me. I don’t think I’d say I’m given to typical evangelism – I’m not a talker or a public speaker type. But I can say I have a passion for “lifestyle evangelism” (I don’t think this enough, or replaces truly sharing the the Gospel). Honesty is a very important quality to me, so I guess this may be a gift because if I desire honesty from others and require it of myself, it’s important to me that my life, in public and in private, lines up to what I say I believe.
I’m a serious introvert, but I’ve somehow managed to meet and make friends with quite a few unbelievers/people who say they believe but don’t live it out. Some may not think that’s a good thing, but based on my experiences and conversations with them over the years, I do believe the way I’ve lived before them has had some impact on their faith and/or opinion of Christians.
So I don’t think typical evangelism is my strong suit, but I do have a strong desire to convince others that salvation is lifechanging by showing them I’m unwavering in what I say I believe, and what I do or don’t do (in front of them) because of it. Some scriptures that govern how I live my faith out before others:
Romans 14:2-3 – One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables.
1 Cor. 10:32 – Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God—
2 Cor 6:3 – We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. (One of my favourites)
This gift’s evident in my life in the following ways:
I’m not sure how to answer this one lol. I don’t think I would have thought of this if I were asked about my top 3 gifts. I guess I do like to serve others in a way… mainly through small or unnoticeable acts. I’m a very behind the scenes person (literally – I’m a photographer, but I haate being infront of the camera). So I guess I may unconsciously think of more noticeable or visible acts of serving when thinking of this gift.

3. This isn’t something I do, but something I desire to see –
I haven’t had much experience working with others in the church outside of my age group (I was previously on the media/communications team at church), but I do feel I have an inclination toward supporting young people (I’m hesitant to say called, but I’ve felt that way for a while + have had others randomly say things to me that support that). Probably in the 16-23ish age group. I have no experience with this, though. It’s just what I’ve felt. I also have a bunch of nieces and nephews, and while children’s ministry has never really been an interest of mine, it’s something I may be open to.
Issues/needs: Giving/serving is a huge thing for me (this made me lol, because I was a little surprised at some of the gifts above, but it made more sense as I wrote this out). I like to know that the church is involved in the lives of its members and wider community. It concerns me when I don’t see a church active in serving the local community and members who are need. For example when I left my previous church and needed to still pay my tithe, I immediately knew that I was going to pay it to my friends church, because their presence in their community is undeniable. They started a drive-through food bank during the pandemic open to everyone in the community, they’ve had a back to school drive every summer for years where kids can get school supplies etc if needed, they host a local youth homeless shelter for dinner sometimes, etc. And it’s very very important to me that churches are dedicated to “Gospel living.” And not just toward believers, and especially not just toward believers in our church buildings, but unbelievers as well. Some scriptures that really impact me (the full verses havent been pasted, just a portion to keep it short)
Micah 6:8 – He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Deut. 14:29 – And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates, may come and eat and be satisfied
Psalm 146:9 – The LORD watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow
Malachi 3:10 – Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.
James 2:15-16 – If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? (this one!!)
Deut 16:17 Every man shall give as he is able
Prov 3:27 – Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so.
2 Cor 9:12-13 – For this ministry of service is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanksgiving to God.Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ
Ministry: I personally have been involved in media in the church (ministry in my old church where I did the livestream for a couple years, and more design related tasks towards the end, as well as previously doing some photography for faith-based events outside of my actual church). But I have unexplored interests in prison and young adult ministries as well.

Your Primary was ‘The Beaver’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Lion’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility
Lion- This personality likes to lead. The lion is good at making decisions and is very goal-oriented. They enjoy challenges, difficult assignments, and opportunity for advancement. Because lions are thinking of the goal, they can step on people to reach it. Lions can be very aggressive and competitive. Lions must learn not to be too bossy or to take charge in other’s affairs.
Strength: Goal-oriented, strong, direct
Weakness: Argumentative, too dictatorial
Limitation: Doesn’t understand that directness can hurt others, hard time expressing grace
[E]xperience
I grew up in a somewhat Christian home – my mom gave her life to Christ when I was young, and we started attending church. I enjoyed attending as well as reading the Bible, but eventually found church boring. I stopped going when I was old enough to stay home alone. At 18, I was struggling with depression (not diagnosed) and opened my Bible one morning around 4am. It opened to a page that had a baptism tract for my previous church, and my heart sank because I knew God was telling my to give my life to him. I “wasn’t ready,” but was baptized 2 weeks later. Little did I know my mom was praying for my salvation before I went to university. I was baptized a week or two before I started first year university.
Media/Communications team member – Faith Sanctuary (2017, I think, to 2020). Mainly weekly livestream duties (Facebook), as well as weekly upload of sermon notes to website
Creative Lead – Faith Sanctuary (Jan 2020-June 2020) Graphics/design focus. The role was impacted by the pandemic, but I was mainly supposed to lead on the creative/graphic side of things. I started assisting more with sermon graphics, as well as met with some ministries on how we could go about using creative media in those ministries. I had started assisting with graphics and created the design direction + designed the graphics and social media posts for the 2019 youth conference, which led to that role
Prodocer – Yasha Lifestyle (2016-2018 or so). Faith-based platform to encourage youth to live out a Biblically-sound, Christian lifestyle. Assisted with videographer, social media, photography
My mom – she has been the most consistent, faithful Christian I know. She lives out what she believes and I know that impacted me giving my life to God.
Going to South Korea on an exchange – it really motivated me to work on developing myself and my skills when I got back, which helped me get and get ready for new opportunities
Personal – mental health struggles. I’ve struggled at very random points in my life since I was a kid. And it wasn’t until my mid-20s that there was a really a focus on it. I didn’t even really have the language for it until then. But my heart breaks but also rejoices for Christians going through it, as this is one place where the grass is truly greener on the other side. And you can appreciate it so much more once you’re here. (So Sundays altar call was very touching for me)
Lack of embrace by the church. *I’d like to note that I’m grateful for and love my previous church.* For reasons I won’t yet share to protect people’s privacy, I don’t think I was very embraced there. There were of course great people, and many who did embrace me. But being “embraced” wasn’t something I thought of until one particular experience a couple years ago, which probably was the real start of when I realized that church wasn’t really my home. And so while I am pretty introverted and relatively reserved, I do desire to ensure that when I’m in a church or Christian spaces, that I “see” and acknowledge those around me, so I can contribute to a healthy church culture where people are seen and loved.
Wrapping It Up
The Challenge: Based upon your S.H.A.P.E. Assessment above (the way God wired you), If you knew you couldn’t fail … and ‘lack of money, or time’ was not an obstacle… list your Top 3 Things you would ‘Focus’ your Life on, next to #1 Loving God & #2 Loving Your Neighbor (these would be your ‘3 God-Sized Dreams’ for your life)?
1. My Relationship with GOD
2. My Relationship with Others
- Putting Your Spouse First
- Your Kids Second
- Everyone Else After those
3. Live transnationally, and spend part of my time in Jamaica working with organizations focused on developing infrastructure, access, job creation, youth, etc
4. Running my own business full-time. A business that is financially successful, enabling me to travel, build generational wealth, show my future kids the world within a faith-based context, so they’re not enamoured by what the see with the ‘world’ in a Christian sense. This would also help me to give, which I’d like to do on a more individual level – helping out a single mom/dad, supporting a local food bank regularly, etc
5. Similar to the above, I’d like to fully retire my parents, and support some of my moms goals and desires as well.
