Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Beaver’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God

Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.

Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable

Beaver- Organized. Beavers think that there is a right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything. Desire to take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They need reassurance.

Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self & others, too perfect.
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

[E]xperience

My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

My younger brother was about to be sent to live in a group home that was far away, because he needed more extensive care than what was available nearby. I was having a hard time with it. My college roommate happened to call. She shared the hope of Christ with me, and I accepted Him into my heart.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

My parents taught me to be sensitive and respectful of others, and they were not afraid to talk with me about difficult subjects.

My aunt and uncle in Tennessee were very generous; they gave me the opportunity to live and work in Memphis for a summer after high school. Seeing how my aunt and uncle interacted with their children and grandchildren was a blessing; they were so beloved by their families and the church community.

My piano teacher was always encouraging and she believed in me. Even though I didn’t have the natural talent and had started learning piano late, I think she saw and appreciated my determination and my willingness to learn.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

One of my friends in a group that had been together since elementary school was pregnant at the same time as me but miscarried. This event completely changed the dynamics of the group, and I was naturally left out. My friend seemed very bitter towards me until the time she was pregnant again.

Living and trying to cope with two chronic diseases gives me great compassion for those going through similar circumstances.

When our family moved to San Anselmo, not only did I not fit in, I felt other parents would purposely ignore me. I definitely have a sensitivity for those who are marginalized.
