S.H.A.P.E. Assessment Results
Thank you Kindell Johnston for taking the SHAPE Assessment. We encourage you to meet with a Church Leader that you respect, to go over your results, so that they can help you discover a place to serve in the church and/or community, and also to help you fine-tune your 5 Main Focuses/Priorities listed at the bottom of this email under the ‘Wrapping it up’ section. May God Bless You!

1. I love being active whether that’s playing sports like basketball, or volleyball, or soccer, or being outside and doing things like hiking, kayaking, running. I fill full when I’m being active and getting to experience nature together!
2. I enjoy taking pictures or making videos. I love capturing moments or events and having something physical to either bring me back in my mind to a moment, or to give others a glimpse of something I’ve experienced.
3. I love being with people I care about, whether that’s friends or family. I love just being with people and having meaningful conversations.
I love working with you adults, whether middle school, high school, or college aged. I think those are three very important stages of life that can really shape a person, and I love getting to come alongside others during those times to encourage them and help build them up.

Your Primary was ‘The Retriever’, with your Secondary coming in as ‘The Otter’, and here are the descriptions of your Personalities, and how they can be used for God
Golden Retriever- Good at making friends. Very loyal. Retriever personalities do not like big changes. They look for security. Can be very sensitive. Very caring. Has deep relationships, but usually only a couple of close friends. Wants to be loved by everyone. Looks for appreciation. Works best in a limited situation with a steady work pattern.
Strength: Accommodating, calm, affirming
Weakness: Indecisive, indifferent, unable to express emotional, too soft on other people
Limitation: Seeing the need to be more assertive, holding others accountable
Otter- Otters are very social creature. Otter personalities love people. They enjoys being popular and influencing and motivating others. Otter can sometimes be hurt when people do not like them. Otter personalities usually have lots of friends, but not deep relationships. They love to goof-off. (They are notorious for messy rooms.) Otters like to hurry and finish jobs. (Jobs are not often done well.) The otter personality is like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh.
Strength: People person, open, positive
Weakness: Talks too much, too permissive
Limitation: Remembering past commitments, follow through with discipline
[E]xperience
I grew up in a culturally Christian home. We were all believers, but only attended church a few times a year because sports were a priority in our family. I always desired more in my relationship with God, but never knew how and didn’t have people around to help guide me through that, so I was never secure in my relationship with God. I didn’t know what it meant to be a discple until I came to college. Coming into my freshman year I went to a Christian camp for in coming freshman at UT. This was the first time I ever saw people my age truly in love with and pursuing God on their own. After leaving that camp I was determined to grow in my faith and make a true commitment to pursue God. I got involved in the BSM at UT and spent my years there being molded and grown into a true discple of God.
Throughout college I volunteered at different D-Nows around Austin. I would volunteer at 3-5 every year in college.
I’ve worked in student ministry at Bannockburn for 3 years
I’ve lead small groups while at the BSM in college and lead Bible studies through that
Going to the University of Texas and being truly discipled during my time there
Spending time after school with my mom (who was a teacher) and watching her care for students in need.
I was able to play multiple sports growing up which allowed me to travel around Texas to push my abilities, as well as being challenged physically.
I tore my ACL my senior year of high school, which ruined my plans of playing sports in college. Though devestating at the time, it allowed me to go to the University I went to and grow in my faith
In college I struggled with anxiety all throughout college, and struggled with depression for a school year. Through that I had to learn ways to calm my anxieties and overcome the depression I faced by serving others around me.
In college I didn’t understand having healthy boundaries in friendships. Because of that I ended up giving to much of myself in some friendships, specifically a friend who was very sick. Because if the lack of boundaries I ended up losing one friendship and eventually lost the friendship with my friend who was sick. Because of this experience I have learned how to implement and encourage healthy boundaries in my life and those around me.
