My brief testimony of how I became a Christian

I was attending church with my parents, and Pastor Bethea asked if anyone would like to give their life to Christ.

Ministry Experience (Where I have served in the past, if applicable, including ChurchName, City/State, Position, Years Involved):

Faith Bible Church – AWANA Cubbies leader for 13 years; 1-3 grade big group teacher for 2 years; Small Group leader for 8 years

List 3 Positive experiences from the past that made a big impact on who you are today:

When I married my wife, I began to see how selfish I really was. Being married has shown me how to serve my wife with joy and to put her needs, and the needs of others above my own needs.

Being a long-time member of a local church has shown me how to love God’s people, to live in community, and to serve joyfully.

My Dad was a great example of how to be a man who loved God, obeyed Him, and loved and prayed for his family.

List 3 Negative Experiences from your past that have helped to Shape me, but also have given you great compassion for others going through similar circumstances:

I married right after college, but was divorced after 3 years. God healed me over three years during which I spent a lot of time studying His Word.

My Dad left for heaven 6 years ago, but God has shown me His goodness and faithfulness throughout the years after his home going.

I lost my job in 2008 and God really began to work in my heart during that time. He demonstrated His faithfulness and began to separate my identity from my work. He began to establish my identity in my heart as His son.
